Hello
Can anyone recommend a good hot cross bun recipe? I've previously made them using a soft bun mix from a specialist breadmaking shop but want to be able to make them from scratch? Many thanks Lou

Check this thread out Hot cross buns from last year. I drooled over it, never quite got around to making them myself, but will try fingers crossed this Easter.

I was going to chime in and mention the Spice Stout hot cross bun recipe that was mentioned in that thread. I read about it on here last year and made a couple of batches- they were amazing! Much more tasty than the usual recipes, I think the stout adds a great flavour to the dough.
Try it, I'll be making more this year
