I have my son at home full time aside from 3yr old kinder. My husband is only home for breakfast and then just before DS bedtime. Our mid-week routine is stimulating with great outings, good sleep, and I feel in control of most behaviors. Naughty corner for discipline works well almost always.
However on the weekend, we see a different child ! My husband uses the same discipline techniques (agreed there could be subtle differences, perhaps not quite as hard as i am) but it seems DS is so anxious to get his atention and we just see a different temperament. If I go out for the day then it gets a little better, but we want the weekend as family time, we dont want DS to control the situation so much that he always gets 1 parent at a time (which i think is his preference) Any ideas ? |
