A friend of mine has just received a very large insurance payout, around $300K. This amount is to be used to purchase a house, but not for the next three months.
Is there an easy way to compare rates, etc. and is a term deposit the only option that guarantees security as she obviously can't go risking it in the stockmarket or the casino |

I reckon just go to her regular bank and lock it away for 3 months. For that amount, the interest is going to be high anyway, and if its not really the high interest shes after, just the security of it being locked away then anything is better than nothing!
