We are picking up the new easy adjust maxi riders today and just looking at the website in regards to weight limit using the in built harness.

This is from the site:

Store the In-built Harness and use a Booster Seat when the child's shouders reach the middle shoulder height marker (from approx. 4 years)

Does this mean its not weight tested so my 5yr old at 19 kilos can use it or is there a 18 kilo limit?

Thanks original.gif

That is correct. New seats under the new standard are not weight based, but HEIGHT based.

Even the old 'up to 18kgs' seats were tested with 22kgs 6yo test dummies. Report is that the I built harness for the New Maxi has been in house tested to 32kgs (seems to be In Preparation for next standard change which will allow for higher harnessing).

That is why the new standard seats are height not weight based as 97% of children under 4yrs are under 22kgs.

I was also told by the customer service team that the new maxi rider currently has the highest height markers of the seats on the market atm.
