Hi guys
I would like to make something similar to this cake for my daughter's birthday. http://www.tonyastaab.com/2010/05/daisies-...s-daisies-.html It says she has made the Daisies following a Wilton course, but the link is broken. I can't find this daisy on the Wilton page. Does anyone know which mold or cut-out she has used? Also, would you only cover the bottom of the cake in the yellow fondant? I was thinking a white mud with white ganache. Thanks for your help TwoLittleDucks |

The link on the "mini daisy cupcakes" page works. I've copied it for you here
It shows which Wilton things to use for the daisies. HTH |

I have a set of 3 little daisy fondant plungers which would work well for this. I got mine from Kitchen warehouse for about $5.00.
I have also seen them at the Bake Boss shop and another local cake decorating store. Very easy to use. Good luck. |

These daisies would be super easy to make. You just need a daisy cutter (doesn't have to be a plunger type). Roll out white fondant, cut, then use a small balling tool (pearl pin head would work) and draw down each petal from the centre to the tip on a foam mat. Allow to dry on some dimpled foam to keep some shape, then glue a little ball of yellow fondant in the centre.
It's time consuming but easy. |
