My DH just got back from a week away, I spent my nights watching Call The Midwife

What sort of things do you like? that will help with suggestions

I've been watching Smash, which is fabulous. Second the suggestion for Call the Midwives, it's one of the best tv series of recent years.

Game of Thrones is great but good to watch with DH so possibly miss it. I've just watched seasons 1 & 2 of Downton Abbey which I loved. DH was out on Valentines Day so I treated myself to Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love. So many choices.

I am pretty eclectic - I never know what will appeal to me until I've started watching/reading it. Novels must be well written; TV series must be thoughtful/witty, not just slapstick humour.

For eg I love 'The Vicar of Dibley' but hate 'French and Saunders'

Can you get 'call the midwife' online or do you have to buy it?
