I have an almost 8 year old dd in grade 2 at school.

past i have worked full time prep dad dropped her off with a few niggle dramas but he could leave her at the gate knowing she would head into class.

grade 1 grandpa took over the school run and she was fine.

grade 2 is dramas but alot already has happened, i am pregnant, her father and i split at the start of the year and i broke my ankle a christmas meaning i had to stop work.

we put the 1st few weeks down to all this change (I have nevr dropped her off at school apart from the carpark drop off when i started work at the 10am shift)

she now unless i walk her into her classroom and detangle her kicking and screaming from me strait to the teacher i cannot be confident she is in class she will run back out the school gate after me.

this morning i tried staying in the car that didnt work so i walked her to the gate and she just stood there another mum even tried walking her in for me and she just carried on and ran back to the car.

she knows the way to walk home so i am worried that she will just walk out of the gate if i just leave her there.

i just think at almost 8 (not even 6 weeks) that she is just to old for this i have tried everything. i am also having issues with her breaking down into tears over everything. i have a meeting with the teacher tomorrow and hoping to meet with the school social worker
