I have a Compaq seat installed for rearward facing in my car. I am finding it really hard to adjust the harness once DS is strapped in. I have been adjusting before I put him in and squishing him in but he is 15 months old now and getting a bit bigger so I can't keep doing it that way. My husband has tried reinstalling but the harness is still difficult. I can hold in the adjustor button and enlarge the harness but once I put him in I can't tighten it very easily and then only a few mm. I have tried pulling the strap with the adjustor button pressed down but that doesn't make any difference. Anyone had the same problem or can tell me what the issue is. I called Britax today and they had never come across it. They asked me to either take in the seat or take it back to Baby Bunting who would send it to them for checking. That could take 10 days. Taking it to Sunshine is not really easy so I'd rather do it as a last resort. I have another seat to put in my car if I take it. But I would rather be able to fix the problem myself if I can.

We have a new Compaq for DS 17 (nearly 18) months, still RF. We found it quite stiff to tighten the harness each time as well but seems to be a little better now. Luckily it's installed in DH's car and he's stronger than I am, so it gets tightened sufficiently. He would also put one hand on the tightening strap at the feet and pull, and the other hand behind the seat pulling the harness straps firm from behind to help. Is your seat very new still? Maybe it will be a bit looser with time?

It is 6 months old. I can tighten or loosen when it's not clicked in but when it is clicked in it is impossible. It's very frustrating! And of course I want it to be as safe as possible for my DS.
