Does anyone's toddlers have these? And more importantly does anyone have any miracle cures - lol!
My nearly 2yr old DD has had them for a good 7 months now and they are EVERYWHERE! They are all very red, pusey, and extremly sore. The pead has said there is nothing I can do and they should disappear soon and that when they are swollen and sore (like they are) it means they are clearing up, the thing is she is getting new ones everyday and last night woke up several times saying they were sore. She wont let me near them (I squeezed one once and it hurt so much she doesn't trust me to even put a bandaid on now). They are mainly on her stomach to her naval and right arm to her elbow but this morning I noticed 1 on her leg and 1 on her eyelid so it looks like we are having another outbreak. My 3yr old DD has about 6 tiny ones you can't notice and they haven't spread or become sore, swollen etc. Any advice would be appreciated and to know I'm not alone (no-one else I know has seen them like this and strangers comment daily). Thanks, Julie 27 Dave 29 Minnie (Jasmine) 15/11/00 Bear (Sarah) 14/01/02 TTC#3 when it happens! |

Hi Julie
sorry this reply is late, but yes I sure know what you mean about this awful skin virus. My son has had it about ten months or so and they are spreading, my gp said they should go away but they have not. Some have become infected people ask what they are and look horrified at the sight but I say theres nothing you can do about them. The only thing they can do is pop them one by one and remove the pus jewel inside to stop them spreading if they do not clear up on their own. Iam taking my son to the doctors next week where this will be done and it will probably take a long time and alot of screaming. I will let you know how it went you might want to do the same thing. Good luck Danni me 30 dh 29 ds born 98 dd born 2000 |

hi i had these myself when i was 10. They were all over my back, stomach and under my arms. The dr put me in hospital for the day and burnt them off under general anaesthetic. Ive still got 3 under my arms, 17 years later. The only problem they cause me now is when i shave. Talk to your dr about it.
Any way hope that helps jactela (27)single mum to DS Ashley- 31.10.1997 |

Dear Julie and all the other sufferers of teses mysterious "spots" I THINK I HAVE FOUND THE CURE
My ds 3 yr old has had this mollescu dadada for 1 year now end we have tried everything anyway after not wanting to get each one (he has about 50) pluck out we decided to search the net and came across this american company that has developed this stuff called "viruside" developed only for mollescu dadada. Well we put our order in before xmas and got this stuff delivered just last week ($35 US delivered) and I was just coming into this site to post a message about this stuff when I saw your post.... well after just a week I have notice a huge improvement the "spots" seem to be drying out and shrinking my son was very excited to recieve his package with the "magic medicine" in and lies quite happily while we tickle his spots with it, he does say that it feels a little hot but not so uncomfortable that he won't lie there. So I think we finally have the cure and hoping within another week it will hopefully be cleared up. The product is all natual and smells like tea tree oil. DS spots were qutie severe all over tummy legs and arm but hopefully now will be cleared up. If you would all like to email me I will keep you posted and lket you know if it really does work or you could just go directly to this site and see all the othetr results for yourself... http://www.molluscum-contagiosum.net/ anyway good luck with it all I am happy to keep in contact with you to let you know our progress good luck. Thanks for the replies ladies - I know they are common but I feel alone in this!
Danni - Please do let me know how your son goes at the doctors - my DD wont let doctors take her temperature so popping them would be impossible - plus she has more then I can count so we'd be there all week - lol! At the stage where I'm willing to do anything though.... Jactela - I cant believe you still have some, that scares me and makes me wonder if they will ever actually go or just continue spreading. I'd say 60% of Sarah's body is covered now, and as of yesterday they are moving towards her genital region. Michele - Thanks for this information, I have been searching the net for awhile now pouring over all the information but so far the only 'cure' I have found is a machine worth $299 US!! Let me know how it goes and I'll definately be checking out that link! I was thinking of ringing a naturapath today - anything is worth a try at this stage, I'm so worried now she has one on her face! Also am sick of hearing the word 'ouch' allll day - poor little darling! Fingers crossed one of the abovementioned 'cures' works. Please keep me posted and thanks again for your help. Hi everyone
Michele that cream you have sounds promising I like Julie will try anything I really dont want to have Lachlans popped at the doctors or frozen off under a general in hospital. I will email you if thats ok to get some details etc so I can order. Julie you sound as if you are at your witts end, yes its awful to see them in pain, maybe you should try for this cream also. Lachlan has not been to the doctors yet the appointment is Friday I will ask about the cream though if my Gp has heard of it, I will let you know. Lachlans have also spread to the genital area which scares me, he is also very affraid of going to doctors about them. I will keep in touch Danni |

My step daughter who we see once a fortnight had this and it was getting worse and worse. The doctor said there was too many to do anything about but eventually her mum heard about some new treatment cream she could get from the Childrens Hospital here in Melbourne. She got a jar and after we all applied it for a few weeks they started to really clear up and she now has none left at all.
I have no idea what it was called or from where in the hospital it came from but if anyone checks it out and isn't able to find it there, I could get DH to ring his ex to get the info. They were pretty awful so it was a relief to see them all go. Good luck! Cheers, Jill Me: 39 DH: 39 #1 EDD 8th Jan 2004 |

Well I have just received my bottle of Virucide and will be starting tonight - quite excited actually!
How are all you other ladies going - are the spots going? Sarah's have spread onto her face and vagina and they seem to be bleeding afair bit (noticing it on her clothes) but the ones on her body actually seem to be going - she looks very bruised and scarred though. I'll start off with her new ones (especially her face) and report back how it's going - also Jasmine seems to be getting quite a few now but hers are all white so not very noticeable! Fingers crossed!! Jill if this doesn't work and Sarah's pead doesnt offer anything when we go back next month I'd love to know what the name of the cream you used on you DSD thanks. Just thought I'd do an update here if anyone is interested! I used the Virucide for about 2 weeks and am over the moon to say that every single one has gone!!!!
She looks wonderful a little bit of scarring and holes but nothing major! Thanks again everyone and I hope you are all having some success as well. Julie 27 Dave 29 Minnie (Jasmine) 15/11/00 Bear (Sarah) 14/01/02 TTC#3 when it happens! |
