I'm going to make it out of here alive, even if it kills me...
Just wondering, if you use a Chiro for bubs. I have started with one to help with Reflux and apparantly DD has a bad neck as well which I can see once pointed out to me.

if you do, how many times a week do you go?

Thanks

We have taken DS since he was 2 weeks old, and I swear that that greatly contributed to having a very easy baby. Great feeder, sleeper and no sickness. When we first went, our Chiro fixed up his neck from labour and is always very gentle. I think from memory DS went once a week for 6 weeks and now just goes monthly.

I will definately be taken my next one to the same chiropractor. They go through so much during labour, I think that at least the initial adjustments are imperative to a healthy, easier, happier baby.

Hope it all goes well for you too.

Yes! All our children go and it is fantastic! I can see such a difference in how our children are. We started with DD#2 when she was 14 weeks old - put it this way - we were at our wits end with her and the GP couldn't offer any advice other than "she's just a fussy baby". Chiro saved us all - her reflux / colic got better and her medication was discontinued, she became a lot happier baby and I was a lot happier mum. She had sustained an injury at birth when she tried to turn her head as she went down the birth canal. Her cervical spine was actually reversed at one point and so the vertebrae in her neck were clamping down on her nerves in her neck causing pain and difficulties when feeding, poor blood circulation and other things like only being able to be held a certain way. She had very poor neck control even at 14 weeks when we first started care and she didn't sit up until she was 8 months and walked a bit late at 15 months. We started DD#1 about 6 months later when she actually hurt her neck from sleeping at a funny angle - we noticed improvements in her overall health (not as many colds and more easily gotten over), her posture is a lot better (although she will probably still require orthotics due to flat feet) and her frequency of car sickness has decreased. She had also had reflux when she was a baby which had been treated with medication until she "grew" out of it. It had been a pretty horrible 12 months. When Caleb was born he had his first adjustment when he was 2 days old. What a fantastic baby he is! biggrin.gif He sleeps through the night and has done so since about 10 weeks old. He is a happy and contented baby and HE DOESN'T HAVE REFLUX! He was a tiny bit colicky in the first month but nothing like the girls were.

Our next baby will also have chiro care from birth because I truly believe it has made all the difference.

Chiara started off on 3 visits per week, graduating to 2 and then 1 per week. She now goes once a fortnight as do all the others.

Caleb started on a "Well-Baby" Program as he had not suffered any great injury during birth as Chiara had. He had 3 adjustments the first week, then 1 per week for 6 weeks and has now been on fortnightly visits since.

As you can tell I absolutely love chiropractic care for my kids and only wish that we could afford it for DH and myself.
You won't look back - you will be constantly amazed at the things you will notice - how well they are when every other child around them seems to be ill with some thing or other and how quickly they will heal or get over any illness they may have. You will start to notice when they need an adjustment by the changes in temperemant and you won't hardly ever see your GP. Ours actually comments on the fact that he doesn't see us much anymore - in fact Caleb has only seen him 4 times - his 6 week check up, 2 month needles, 4 month needles and 6 month needles. I can't remember the last time Brienna needed to go the GP and Chiara went on the weekend only because she split her head open on the wall but before that it would have been at least 4 or 5 months and then only because something bit her on the hand and her hand swelled up.

Sorry for the rave - if you got through it .

That is great everyone!!

We have been going twice a week for a while now and I have noticed a change in general behaviour (although she is only 11 weeks). She is much more content, doesn't need the constant attention. She has not been constipated in weeks and her poos are nice and soft. She can now turn her head properly. She can bring wind up without the use of infants friend or infacol, she burps so well. I have kept her on the thickener with formula and the Zantac, as I have not noticed a difference yet in the reflux area, but she is hapy to lay flat on the floor under her gym, which is an imrovement.

Overall, wether chiro or coincidence, she is happy I am appy and willing to keep it up!!!!
