I want to make one of those gorgeous deep vegetable pie things that you see at take away places like Healthy Bite. They look like they have layers of sliced potato carrot, pumpkin, spinach etc(I have just bought a v slicer,so can't wait to use it!)What I need to know is what goes in between, they look tightly packed and not soggy(like they don't have a lot of sauce or wet ingredients?)And I was thinking that they probably take a while to cook(or would I par-cook/steam/boil vegies beforehand?) Hope someone can help me! |

I would steam them or even better, roast them before hand.
