FIST RESPONSE:

1. Evap line - no
2. False BFP - no
3. Earliest result - 14DPO
4. Rating : 10/10

I had been testing wtih the HPT that you get at the Dr's ( took them from work wwhistle.gif ) and they had given me very, very , very faint BFP's after about 5 minutes.
First Response gave me an instant, very dark line. The Dr one continued to be faint for a few more days.

Am currently in the process of testing - getting faint BFP's 10DPO so will update this in the next few days ....

cassidysmummy - Me too! Today. Used FR midstream and got an evap. Came up within 3 mins, feint but very definately there, but disappeared at the 8min mark. cry1.gif rant.gif
FR have just changed their tests from 'test 5 days b4 missed period' to 6. I got an evap last month on same brand but not nearly so bad. I hheart.gif FR so figured one evap I can forgive. But now...

Why mess with something that works??
Think I'll switch to confirm now.

This happened to me yesterday, and todays test it took 3 minutes just for the control line to come up! oomg.gif

I knew i didnt like FR rant.gif nno2.gif

Have a question, I am on 2 mths in TTC and I have bought OPK and Maybe Baby but I am not getting any signs for ovulation, also have tried the temperature thing but that is all over the place. The OPK is called "David Ovulation Kit" (bought off the internet), any suggestions as to what brand I should be using? I am a 31 day cycle and currently at day 15 and nothing ?? How good are they? Thanks - Merry Christmas

I usually swear by first repsonse but last cycle I had faulty tests out of 2 3 pack boxes from different batches. First I was excited bc a pink line came up in the test region but then disappeared within a minute, next day I got a pink dot in the test region and next I got a bfp (witnessed by my husband and everyone knows they're completely BLIND) which disappeared about 5 mins later. Very disappointing.

I must say that FR is going downhill and fast.

I had 2 positive lines and a control line on one tests and the others had a few evaps. I am not pregnant so positive lines was a dud test.

I will give them one more go next cycle though as they are usually very accurate. maybe just bad batches coming out. If not ill be switching to confirm.

I seem to be pregnant! I've been testing from 9dpo with FR and got slight suggestions of lines that I've ignored bc of my bad FR experience I had written about a couple of posts back. Slowly I've noticed I've had stronger evap lines. 12dpo I looked at the test 8 hrs later and there was a definite evap. I decided to test again that day and got a faint pink line within a couple of minutes.

What I've noticed though is that the line's been slow to come up (12dpo when with my other chem/pregs I got lines at 9dpo) and the line is taking ages to darken. I'm 15dpo now and the line's still not as dark as the control line and is so far the same color as yesterday's test.

I looked up the site www.canyouseealine.com and they have lots of recent posts of FR tests and mine come up as quite strong compared to theirs.

I just wonder if the change to FR tests includes the darkness of the test. Talk about playing with very vulnerable women's emotions! I'm scared to go to the dr bc my last fr at 12dpo was stronger than my current bfp at 15dpo and that ended in a chem preg and the dr's test barely showed a line.

I'll try and post a pic. IT's the last pic in the series of hpt pics http://www.uptheduff.org/index.php/forums/...thread/388/P30/

You will see my old FR bfp's in the pics before this current series and you can compare to see what I'm talking about. I'm no longer a fan of FR. They seem to have become cheap with their dye... either that or my preg is struggling.

I decided to get a Discover and to test again this afternoon with FR. The FR test is still not as dark as the control line but a certain bfp. The FR is not much if at all darker than this morning's test.

The Discover test freaked me out bc it took a while to brighten up and is quite a bit fainter than the FR test. I didn't expect that! I was planning to go see the Dr tomorrow for a beta hcg now I'm scared. I've got 1 more Discover and will hopefully be darker tomorrow.
