Hi There,

Do not know if I have posted in the right section or not. I am very very very disorganised. The house is in a mess and sometimes I cannot find anything or have to search. Sometimes I just do not know where to start.

Basically I am after tips on how to be organised and have an organised home.

Any advise would be great.

Kim

Hi Kim

Check out the Home Organisers group in this section. That is where I got all my inspiration from. There are heaps of great tips and just motivation all round.

Good luck.

NYR 2009: de-clutter my home, organise my life
I have just started so dont realy know if the stuff im de-cluttering are going to stay that way yet unsure.gif

but im just doing one area at a time. I dont mean one room but one area in a room. I give the area a realy good clean then changing the way im handling the items in the area so it stays clean.

I cleaned up my laundry but i needed to change the process in doing the washing so it dosn't get that bad again. So i have put up some shelving, purchased a new basket system and purchased all new storage containers for the laundry stuff so it all looks nice in there. Im now folding the washing as soon as its dry and putting it in the baskets designated for each room ready to be put away. the laundry basket hasn't had a chance to get full like before becouse its just easier to organise it all now.

I have herd many times that if its getting re-cluttered then its not working and you need to change the way your doing it.

Im currently working on my girls clothes cubbords. Firstly i thought that they had too many clothes and needed then culled but now i realise that they are getting bigger and clothes are taking up more space. So Im going to get bigger draws and a step so they can hange there clothes by them selves. this should change the exploding mess comming out the doors original.gif

I think alot of it for me is spending money on the house but the amount of stuff i have culled and sold on ebay would help with costs.

I have joined the Buddy groups in this area to help with ideas and learn diffrent ways to do things also the photos are great. The challenges are a big kick up the bum wink.gif
