This isn't really a post about anything super important.

I just wanted to put down somewhere that my little girl Tarnia's memorial page has reached 6023 visitors! I am so grateful to everyone who has been to visit Tarnia's page and to take the time to remember her. It means so much to me. Seeing as this is really the only site that people have the info to get there, that means that the majority of those visitors have been through EB. So just wanted to say thank you.

I also got a shock tonight when I realised that next month is her birthday. That has come around fast, three years nearly. Unbelievable! Truly. I can't explain how confusing it is to on the one hand feel so sad that she almost feels like a stranger to me and on the other it all seems like just yesterday. I can still feel her in my arms, I can see her skin, her little chubby thighs. Yet she feels so far away.

Anyway, just needed to say that.

Edited to add, in searching for other babies born on the same day as Tarnia, I found her birthday buddy Zachary. Two little babies who were born on the same day, one went to heaven before her first breath, and one a few days later. If you would like to remember Zachary his page is

I just looked at Tarnia's site that you have built, it is a
wonderful tribute to her, she is a dear little girl with lovely
features. And I'm glad you have had so many hits, I think EB
is a pretty powerful place.

When i first joined eb Tarnia's website was actually the first thing i came across. It touched me in a way i can't find the words to describe. I will never forget the way i felt when i looked at your gorgeous little girls photo.

Oh Sweetie,

I just looked at that beautiful memorial to your little girl and read it with the knowledge that 9/10ths of what you wrote I have been feeling and knowing for just over a month now that my own little girl has gone and I just howled and howled not just for myself but for you too.

Thanks so much everyone for your lovely responses. I'm very touched. Through all the heartache there has been good to come from the loss of Tarnia. And that is the connections made with lovely people such as yourselves.

I too have only just visited your beautiful memorial for your prescious little girl Tarnia just a few days ago and i was touched to the point that words can not describe but pleanty of tears can.

It made me thankful for the beautiful little boy who i am holding in my arms and getting to watch grow and change every day.

I am so greatful for you sharing your story of your little girl.

Hi Sam,

I first visited TArnia's site a few years ago after your story first appeared in Mother and Baby magazine, it touched my heart as it was soon after my precious twin sons Aiden and Luke were stillborn. I was so proud of you for getting not only your story but for all us other mums who wish there something more about stillbirth available published in a magazine.

Since then we have both gone on and had healthy children, I am now pregnant again and you have started TTC. I can't believe that it has been 3 years since Tarnia came into your life. Oh how things, including us have changed.

Your little girl is adorable and I know she lives in her little sister. I always tell Mia that she will forever have two angels sitting on her shoulders watching over her. Although we never got to see them smile I see my boys smiling through Tyler, his smile lights up the room, his whole face smiles and I think his brothers are there somewhere.

I have certainly met alot of lovely people on EB as well and it has helped me through alot of tuff times.

Look after yourself and hope to hear some good news soon.

Jacki, that is so true about seeing them live through our other children. Sabrinah looks exactly like Tarnia when she is asleep, so I think that must mean she looks a lot like her when she is awake too, yes?? So I will see Tarnia continue to blossom through her gorgeous little sister Sabrinah, who has a heart and spirit and cheekyness big enough for two that is for sure! LOL. hugs to you.
