"Your body is not a lemon!" - Ina May Gaskin
Hi guys - it's probably really simple, but I just don't know where to go...

I've noticed a few people with little pics at the top of their posts, next to their username/ new member bits.... (I know Silversun has a great one)

How do you put these in? I have a picture I want to pop in there.

Thanks for your help.

Where is your image stored? On the internet or on your computer?

If it's on the net you will need to go to http://tinyurl.com/ and shorten the url there.

If it's on your computer, you will need to go here http://tinypic.com/ and shorten the url there.

Once you have the shortened URL you will need to insert it into this code snippet below.

Just make sure you change the link displayed in red to your own URL Link, and remove the blue asterix * from the code before you save it original.gif

Hope this has helped.

Yep you go to Personal Settings, then click on Edit my Profile, then up the top where it says Your Member Title, that's where you add the code snippet wink.gif

Let us know if you still have any trouble original.gif

whoops - seemed to have done something wrong....

ok....
Question 1: when you say 'shorten the url' is there anything other than uploading my pic into tinypic?

Question 2: (kind of reflecting on the previous) i pasted this into the member title bit:
*****
does that look right?

I think you were using the page link not the image link. Should be:
<img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/oqykyg.jpg">

But... the image is too big, it will display, but needs resizing. I have resized it, I couldn't find any rules about what size to do...

<img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/i23tb9.jpg">

In case you need the other links to use it for a different purpose, they can be found here.

Hope it works now!
