hi,
my DS is 9 weeks and his colic has well and truly peaked!! he suffers terribly everynight from about 8pm to 11pm.

he is ff and is currently using Avent bottles.
i have tried using infacol, marina infant relief and infants friend which all work a little but i'm wondering if i change bottles or teats this may help.
i have heard that Avent bottles aren't the best for colic

what has worked for you - i really want to try and help my little one until he outgrows the colic

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most bottles are the same! Try squash the teat of the bottle with your finger, while doing this tip the bottle upside down and let go off the teat and put the bottle in to the baby's mouth. If you do it properly the milk will not drip out while its held upside down. This makes sure the baby doesnt swallow air while sucking. Try to do this a few times during the feed.

This helped my baby a lot.

We changed bottles a few times and really just wasted our money

Try mam anti colic bottles. They are available in Target, baby bunting, national pharmacies and on www.babynest.com.au . Their bottles have a one way valve that allows the air to enter to stop the vaccuum effect which in turn causes the baby to take huge gulps of air when the stop for a breath.
Most anti colic bottles have a hole in the side of the teat, all that does is airate the milk even further as the only source of air into the bottle. All mam products are entirely bpa free and they have a fantastic range, including bottles, dummies, toothbrushes etc...I love their products and advocate for them no worries.
Hope this helps !!
