I posted this at the end of an old thread but it might be more likely to be seen as a new thread...

I've tried making the "cheats" version of the easiyo where you use part of the mix and milk poweder but I can't get it to work!!

Could someone give me a tried and tested recipe? I currently have 1 pack natural & 2 packs starwberry as well as plenty of powdered milk.

Thanks!

Last time I used part of the natural mix...perhaps it didn't work because I didn't use the "Greek" yoghurt mix?

Do you think it would work with "natural" or "flavoured" types or do I need to buy the Greek?

I have used the flavour ones as well. Just need to add more hot water and let it sit longer

♥Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it.
Not sure if this is what you want but I make a cheats way for Easiyo using 1 and 1/4 cups of milk powder, 3 tablespoons of easiyo powder and 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar (depending on how sweet you want it). I leave it in the easiyo maker for 16 hours and I have never had a batch that doesn't work. I mainly use the Strawberry flavoured Easiyo mix because that's what my kids like.

I use 1 1/2 cups of skim milk powder, 3T of yoghurt mix, 3 T of sugar, and mix with water... I also add more hot water to the container after 8hrs tho.

I also wrap a towel around the easiyo during the cold winter months.

Oooh I love my Easiyo. I make one batch according to the instructions and when we have nearly finished that batch - with about two or three tablespoons left in the bottom - I fill it up with milk. Fill half way and shake, then fill to the top.

Only ever bought two packs of mix. I also tried doing the same with milk powder which worked okay too - just followed the milk powder instructions for making 1 litre of milk. So leave a small amount of the last batch, add in the milk powder and fill with water half way, shake and top up.

I also found adding a couple of tablespoons of milk powder to milk made a gorgeous thick yoghurt. Yum.

Good luck Mtilly!
