Hopefully the beautician then refuses to do it. Not because I'm anti ear piercing (shoot me down). I know I wouldn't do a procedure like that on a screaming, distressed child.

It seems so odd to me. Mine were pierced at 9 because my mum had some idea that was when I was old enough. I was so excited and don't remember it hurting. I can't imagine taking a child who didn't want to. it's not like vaccinations. That I accept is a little pain for a much greater good, but earrings!

I'm at the beautician right now listening to a girl about the age of 5yrs beg & plead with her mum not to pierce her ears. She is distraught & crying & begging.

Just curious, what does the mother have to say?
