I'm a monkey in a long line of kings
Our good friends (my husbands best friend) just got engaged. Anyone have any good ideas for a great present? They have all their house stuff already, so wanting to think outside the square....

TIA!

Have they started to plan the wedding yet. Do you know where they are going for their honeymoon. If you do you could always organise something for there. We were given a gift card to spend at Disneyland by my friend on our honeymoon. It was great. You could perhaps book a dinner and pay for it or organise couples massage at their hotel or organise a day tour or something.

Proud mum of 3 cuties
I know you say they have everything for their house but there are certain things you seldom buy for yourself. Photo frames are always a lovely gift to recieve, especially if they are going to have a photo shoot or want to frame some wedding photos. Or go a gift voucher for a photo shoot or to a service like snapfish that could print their photos/canvas/photo book afterwards. Or is there anything they still want to do to the house or upgrade? Maybe a bunnings voucher or furniture voucher?

A little picnic set for two with plastic champagne glasses and a bottle of something bubbly for them to go out and have peaceful moments in the lead up.

An engagement survival kit (google Bridal Survival kit) - you can make your own - stress ball and beer for him, note pad, chocolate, etc for her... my favourite one is here but I like to personalise too:

Red balloon for a cooking class together or have one of their pamper hampers delivered as a surprise (you could give them a card saying to make sure to be home for the night on a certain date, then have it delivered that day!

I dunno - our engagement was pretty stressful - it was nice when we got to hang out without wedding pressure!

For our engagement a close friend of ours gave us a really good bottle of red (to be cellared for many years) and had our names and engagement date engraved into the bottle.

This is probably the most memorable, unique gift we received and we will be saving it for a special anniversary years down the track.
