I don't know if I have been living under a rock, but I have just stumbled onto the Zoku Quick Pop Maker.

It looks brilliant and I am about to part with my hard earned money to buy one, but I just wanted to know, does anyone have one and are they as easy to use as they make out.

That is really cute. I'd like one too. My only question is- if you have to freeze the unit prior to using it, is there much point since iceblocks can be made with moulds in the freezer anyway? I would've bought one by now, just can't get my head around this aspect.

That makes it less of an awesome item (I never think about the reality, just the awesome outcome.

DD got one for her birthday/Christmas from her Aunty.

I think it's more that you can watch them freeze before your eyes.

DH snapped on stick the second day.

You have to use high sugar drinks or they get stuck. Mind you a few of ours go stuck and we used apple juice which is high in sugar.
The sticks are thick so eating the icey pole around it you kind of end up biting the stick alot.

Personally I would not spend money on it.

I replied before and DD has not use it in 8 months. We are thinking we should get rid of it and just buy the old fashion ones that you put the liquid in and freeze.

I know Homeart had a cheaper one for sale until 14th Oct. Only $30 if you want to try a cheaper one.

I bought one last summer and paid around $60 from one of the online kitchenware places...I think I just kept my eyes open for specials.

We've had heaps of use out of ours and I love it. Yes you do have to think ahead and have it sitting in your freezer ready to go, which means petting it in the night before.

Biggest pro I can tell you is that if you feel like an ice-block at 9pm at night, by the time you get up from the couch, make it and it sets, you're back on the couch with your ice-block within 15 minutes.

My kids have had lots of fun cutting shapes out of fruit and making new combinations, and I like that I can use things like the squishy strawberries in the bottom of the punnet and a bit of greek yoghurt to make some really yummy treats.

I've had some things get stuck which does get frustrating, but overall I'm happy with it. There are loads of recipes on the net now too for some nice combinations.

I have one and love it, I've also never had anything get stuck so must be super lucky!

I mostly make them from fruit purees and fruit mixed with yogurt and also from chocolate milk for naughty ones sometimes!

One thing I really love about it is that while they set they don't set rock hard like the ones you pour the liquid in and then put in the freezer do. It's a softer consistency more like sorbet, or kind of like a Frosty Fruit.
