Hello

I joined Phoenix trading late last year as I loved the products and liked the idea that there were no sales targets (am currently a SAHM and wanted something extra to do).

The only problem is I just don't know how to get started. I have convinced two of my friends to hold parties, hopefully in the next month, no dates locked in yet and am starting to get a bit down hearted about it all.

I had an 'open house' this afternoon for my friends, so they could come and check out the wares. Invited them to come between 1-3, no pressure to buy, but just to check it out. I had two orders over the phone as they couldn't get here but otherwise nothing, no one showed up.

Any tips or hints on how to get out there? And yes I do have support through Phoenix but thought there was sure to be plenty of experience here on EB as well. original.gif

Thanks
Nik

Nik, I am also with Phoenix and have been for nearly 6 years now.

I haven't done a great deal in terms of parties but am slowly building them up.

Ask everyone you know, tell them what you do and mention it to all when you have the opportunity.

With the release of the new supplementary catalogue, maybe have another 'launch' party to show off the new 67 products.

Where are you based? I am in Sydney.

Proud BFAR mum 12 months!
Hi
I am with Phoenix also. I had an open house launch party and had a few drizzle through, except my MIL who lay down for a rest and slept the entire afternoon, another friend who totally forgot, etc etc. My sister said she will host me a party and a girl at work said she will, but after that I have nothing either. My sister reckons you can't force these things, you have to let them build up. I first came across Phoenix combined with 2 other direct selling thing so I'm trying to find people doing other ones and combine parties with them. That way you invite twice as many people between you. My sister and her friends do some beauty things on the side so we are going to have a "girls networking day" and do all these things together with a party bag with some gifts, free spray tans/make up demos etc as incentive to come. I'm also going to get cellos and leave a basket at work because people always need last minute cards and go up the newsagency and pay $5.50 so hopefully they buy them from me instead. Good luck.

Why not host your own event in the next couple of weeks and promote the Butterfly Tea Party month? I've got one at my place in a couple of weeks.

Have you also thought about finding out if there are any school fetes in your local area in the next few months? That way you might get some more parties booked in.

Where are you based? I am in Sydney if you ever want to discuss .... or send me a message with your e-mail address ... maybe we can get together to swap ideas.

Mum to 4 gorgeous children and proud loser of 22kgs
I have just started up my own jewellery company with 2 of my friends. What we decided to do was to have a lucky draw prize so that way you get people to fill in details on a form and on that form have a question of are interested in a party. You will get a few people from that, quite a few no's but there will be people out there willing to have a party.

Goodluck. biggrin.gif
