I'm so sorry for my lack of input in here lately guys. No excuse really. I have been popping in to read but will have to go back as I''ve missed one thread entirely and the bulk of the one before that. So sorry. Been busy with visitors down from Perth and other things happening. HOpe to be back soon to post personals and catch up... but I spose I shouldnt promise anything. Sorry again.

P.S Work sucks... is anyone else extremely tired?? Might need my iron levels checked I think.

Congrats on your healthy baby gefadi!! grin.gif

I have been very bad at work today - checking out baby furniture online. Went into our local furniture shop to get some prices and they were so expensive. Think I will stick to either buying online or checking out IKEA when I am next in the city. Has anyone got a good deal on funiture???

www.bubngrubs.com.au seems like they have a lot of choices to make your own packages and aren't too pricey. I am just a bit hesitant about buying online without seeing the furniture in person.

5 sleeps until our scan.......counting down!! And trying not to think about it at the same time!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Be back in a week. Major legal situation with the person I'm staying with, he needs my support. Stressing, panicking for him, no time for EB at the moment. Sorry girls. See you again soon. Keep your fingers crossed for him.

Hello ladies,

Quick one from work for me too! biggrin.gif

Deanne: I got good deals at IKEA! Sales are on at the moment and they are worth it. The change table/chest of drawers I was looking at was basically half-price during the sales so I've bought it! original.gif

Xant: Congrats on your baby girl!! Very exciting!

Hazely: I'm the same; still quite tired. So much for energy burst in 2nd trimester. And I'm over work too but I need to hang in there till Oct... feels far away!

Erin: Sounds quite stressful sweet! Look after yourself and see you when you're back on!

Gefadi: Congrats on your healthy bubba! It's great to hear everything is going well and all's healthy!

Bec: thanks for your reassurance re: baby movements in the last thread. I have to keep reminding myself that with my anterior placenta, it's gonna take a while anyways... Note to self: patience! original.gif

AFM: Scan is tomorrow!!! I can't wait really, just to see and hear bub and make sure all is ok. I then have an appointment with the OB the following week so I'm guessing she'll use the doppler then, which would be lovely to hear bub again. Aagh, why is the time dragging on???

Take care girls!

Gefadi Congratulations on the health scan - really takes a weight off doesn't it!

Xant Yay - another one in the girl club!!

*Deanne* Furniture is next on my to do list too. I've found babiesdirect.com.au has some pretty decent prices on most things although I'm not too sure if they're in all states. I know you can email them with a self-made package though and they'll usually give you a good price.

Argh! just lost a whole post mad.gif

natasha77 - drs/ob cant work out whether its a pregnancy thing or not. we think not as up until it very suddenly kicked i was constipated the entire pregnancy. plus my housemate seemed to have the same thing b4 i got it, and my mother had it after spending a day with me - although for both of them it was all over in less than a day. but tests have come back negative for a bug. so due to fear of dehydration hurting bub, im back trying a different med, which will stop the problem but probably not cure it. much like the last one. don't really fancy waiting 5 months til i can take something strong enough to actually do some good!
My mum is big on recommending everyone give their kids phenergan too - pretty sure it really was the done thing!
gefadi - congrats on the healthy bub!!
hazely - welcome back! how is everything going with your pregnancy? i'm still copping fatigue as well, but thankfully nowhere near as much as earlier in the pregnancy!
erin - hope everything works out with your friend, and that it doesn't stress you out too much while you're carrying that little blue bundle around
Goodluck to anjg and bec83 with your scans tomorrow! and to anyone else that isn't on the list but is having one tomorrow all the same wink.gif

AFM - my scan today was just lovely! technician spent atleast half and hour with us, slowly checking out the heart, kidneys, stomach and brain, blood flow, and pretty much the entire skeleton. also eyes and a close up of top lip and some beautiful little feet original.gif
Little princess wasn't interested in spreading her legs to let us have a look, but with much prodding from the technician and various attempts she finally gave enough of a glimpse to be called a girl original.gif
Which means everyone was right because everyone picked that i'd have girl!
Placenta is very close to the cervix, so will be watched later on, is also at the front (can't recall if thats anterior or posterior?!) so explains why i've not yet felt a lot of movement. Bub is certainly alive and very healthy in there original.gif
Mum was absolutely in awe of the technology they have for ultrasounds now, and very happy to be able to go and shop up in pink until her heart is content for her 1st grandchild. Not such an excited response when i contacted the father to tell him, but you can't win them all.

Nothing is getting the smile off my face right now biggrin.gif

Xant - Congrats on a girl! Girls are wonderful!

Gefadi - Congrats on a great scan! I'm finding out because I am impatient and if I can know something, I want to! LOL! Congrats again

Ang and Bec - Good luck with your scan tomorrow!

Erin - Sorry we wont see you around for a few days. I hope everything works out for your friend.

Furniture
- We still have a lot from my last baby 5 years ago. I am getting a new carseat, mattress etc. But yeah, we still have a lot. Baby will be in my room for at least 8 months.

Just a quick one again from me. I had my youngest at the Dr today. Today is day #3 that she's been sick. Got a 'virus'...
Still not over the shock but feel ok today. It was SIDS. Please please support red nose day tomorrow. I will be and so will my children, husband etc.

Evening Girls!

A quiet day in here for us!

xant - Congratulations on finding out you're having a daughter!!! another pinky on the list!! It sounds like you had a great scan and how gorgeous that your Mum enjoyed it so much. Sorry you can't work out your tummy bug you poor thing. That would be so frustrating for you.

Erin - good luck over the next few days. Sounds like you might have your mind taken off your own problems for a bit, which is good and bad I suppose original.gif Make sure you take the time for yourself too, you have so much going on from the sounds of it all. Don't get too stressed out xx

Ang and Bec - argh you lucky ducks!! Scans tomorrow!! Make sure you come straight in here LOL, you know you're going to be stalked wink.gif Are you both finding out??

Gefadi - congratulations on your beautiful healthy baby!! Well done staying strong and not finding out!! Those days are behind me LOL

Me+him+her - nope, haven't bought a thing!! But if this one is a girl I will be hitting the online stores for some clothes and definitely getting some pink bonds suits for when she's tiny. If it's another boy, I will buy just a very few pieces, we have an embarrassing amount of clothing from our two boys!!! And my last was born in December, so the seasons will match up too. Takes away much excuse to shop! Enjoy though, what fun and you know at least that you're buying things that you need. Clothes are vital! Don't forget you're likely to be swamped with gifts too wink.gif

Moi - well, I am still not feeling this baby every day!! It's my 3rd you'd think I'd be onto it!! Though with the amount of info we got at the 12 week scan and with subsequent OB apts my placenta could be front row centre and I wouldn't know it! I feel so uninformed and a bit peeved about it.... I didn't ask the question, but still, seems like it's been discussed with most people in here! I have felt it from time to time, but I still go 2-4 days without noticing anything. I am looking forward to big rolls and elbows and knees.

My boys are finally well, or close to it. Now just to nail sleep with Finn and these darned teeth. I can hear him whinging in the background...blah. My DH is in Sydney tonight and it would be so nice to plonk on the couch and watch something girly without a little cutie-pie beside me. He is so darned cute too....makes it easier LOL

Okay, better go and rummage up some dinner. I made home-made fish fingers tonight for my boys and it was actually hilarious watching them poke them in with gusto!! No dinner time angst in my house tonight. Carrot, brocolli - everything in!! Love that!!!

ps Mummygirl - what a shocking thing to have happened. Hard to believe that SIDS still occurs. It terrifies me. I'll be supporting tomorrow for sure. xx

night lovelies! xxx
