I have just got off the phone and have organised insurance for my vehicle. I have saved more than $200 on the premium, compared to my current insurer. I just wanted to let interested people know. Sure the excess is $100 more but I feel that even if I have to make a claim I still have saved $100. Actually the Agreed Value has increased $3000 too.

Does anyone have any dealings with Youi either positive or negative? They have only been around for 2.5 years unsure.gif

Add that I got a quote for Home & Contents and they couldn't come close sad.gif

Liz

We're with Youi and have found them fine, but have never had to make a claim either (touch wood).

I was going to go with youi this year, but I read a lot of bad reviews online. I do get that most of the people who are actually going to write reviews will be ones that have bad experiences, but I just didn't want to risk being screwed over, especially when I will have a newborn in September.

My car valuation was also much lower than my old insurer (AAMI) so I just sucked up the $150 saving I would have made and stuck with them. I at least know that I can claim easily through them.

My Youi quote is actually $1000 OVER what I currently pay for my car insurance, punching in as similar figures as possible as what I gave my current insurance provider...

I insured our new car with Youi, they were the same price as our old company, but would insure out 4wd for offroad activities, whereas our old company wouldn't. Also by having a policy with them we got 20% off another policy, and gave me a great price on our contents insurance, so we're very happy. No claims yet, but customer service has been brilliant when i've called to change things (adding things onto our 4wd policy).

I have a friend that was with them, had a quite major accident that was her fault, over $30000 of damage to her car alone.

Took a long time to get everything fixed and then she gets a phone call saying that there is a problem with the gear box, and she had to prove that the gear box was in working order before the accidnet... impossible.

So now she has the car with a dodgy gear box and is trying to take it further.

Angel boys lucky mummy.
We looked at getting DH ute insured by them and they under valued it by heaps so we stuck with AAMI, and also I had just had an accident not long before and as my insurance was with AAMI I new they were great to deal with if you do have a crash.

I also read bad reviews about youi.

I'm the same as Jess869. I looked at them when our insurance was up for renewal, the monthly payment was around $20 less, but the car valuation was about $2,500 less than our current insurer. I found the same with other cheaper premiums.
