YAY....we're prepring for our first major trade show in 2 weeks and I am REALLY excited!! I cant believe after all our hard work this is finally going to happen! I saw a custmer yesterday and he is interested in our products and I am installing another of our products at a new customer's practice tomorrow! Feeling great about the business!! I know that sometimes it gets me down (please see previous "oh woe is me I'm a failure" posts) but I'm goign through a manic phase and I'm enjoying it!

Stay tuned for another post when the depressive phase hits original.gif

To everyone who has thier own business and know all about the ups and downs I hope I can share and pass on some of my positive energy I am feeling at the moment!

Bloody hell una......back to work. cool.gif

Hey that's awesome Una original.gif Congratulations.

One thing I definitely WASN'T prepared for when going into business for myself was the pendulum of emotions - it's either the highest of highs or the lowest of lows!

I have to say the good far outweighs the bad thankfully, and I can't imagine going back to working for someone else.

Best of luck at the trade show.

The lows hit me mid last week and crescendoed when family stuff ramped up this week sad.gif

When I'm in the depths of it, I usually start looking for jobs then realise I could never work for anyone else again rolleyes.gif . It's a tough gig self employment, but so worth it (for me).

Big promos like trade shows are such a huge amount of work but when you're there you'll realise how much it was all worth it - so much of my business is like that,,, swimming through garbage to get to the diamonds biggrin.gif

Trade show was AWESOME! Great response and many new customers. We are looking at opening up a distribution centre in Qld. Now I'm stressing about not having enough stock to service the customers. I was so excited I seriously couldnt sleep for 2 nights straight.

Twice The Woman - we import/distribute and wholesale medical devices and consumables. We are also testing the waters in manufacturing within the next 12 months.

Haha..BMAP - I have been so glum as to start scooting around for jobs too! I just wish this emotional rollercoaster would cause weight loss....but alas...no.

Now next big trade show in BrisVegas. We have learned SO much so will make this one bigger and better.

Yay for you! I am glad to know that other small business owners experience the same highs and lows. I think it is because we put so much of ourselves into the business. Admittedly it is hard to switch off from work but mostly it is worth it!

Thanks little lion. What is your business?

Its kind of hard to explain to people who dont own thier own businesses, how high the highs can be and how low the lows can be. Particulalry if you're like me and a little prone to being overly emotional/excitable original.gif Even if this doesnt work out in the long run, I've learned so much and gained so much confidence. Its the best thing I have ever done.

I'm off to the last trade show of the year this weekend and I'm so excited. We have a much larger display and some more people to run the stand. I'm looking forward to seeing some of my customers from interstate because they are just lovely people!

This is me!! But I get so excited by the littlest things, like one small enquiry or even just one 'like' on FB.
