Ok dumb question from me for today biggrin.gif Did you take/are you taking your jewellery such as engagement/wedding rings? I have a habit of taking them off (especially when swimming) and would hate to lose them.

Also, did you go to Safari Park? We've heard it's better than Waterbom park?? Any input is welcome.

I took my rings etc, but I never take them off.
If you are worried that you will take them off and leave them somwhere, then probably best you leave them at home original.gif

I wouldn't say that Safari Park is better than Waterbom.

We stayed overnight at the Safari Park last trip and the kids loved it. Its a great experience and there are heaps of package options to get out of it what you want.

Waterbom park is a fantastic day - nothing better than getting a gazebo, setting yourself up and taking turns with DH to lay around doing nothing or going on things with kids.

They are both a different experience that I don't think you can really compare them against each other - except that I wouldn't visit the Safari Park every Bali trip, but I would go to Waterbom Park every visit!

Ashtonsmum - SO JEALOUS!!

What ages does Waterbom suit? MY 3 aren't overly adventurous with waterslides etc....

Now I"m reconsidering Holiday Inn and thinking of staying somewhere in Seminyak that is close to the cubbyhouse kids, any suggestions? Not necessarily a private villa though as we would like onsite resturaunt/bar etc... With cubbhouse kids, do you have to pre book from here? Or can you book when over there?

We go in a month!

Staying at Holiday Inn. Anyone been?

Have you guys used the babysitting services anywhere in Bali? I am a little nervous to use a babysitting because I keep thinking a kidnapping ring may have infiltrated them!

Stay at Holiday Inn, the kids club here is great from all reports and in a pretty goo location for families. We planned to go to the Clubhouse Kids Club but it was just as easy to leave the kids in the hotel with a nanny (no kids club at our hotel this trip) and get out and about without having to worry about getting kids in and out of taxis. Just all too hard with 3 IMO. It is also on the outskirts of Seminyak, great if you are going to Potato Head but a good walk back to JL Laksmana for shopping or other restaurants.

My kids are 3, 5 and 7yrs. This was the first year that #2 son really got into Waterbom and went on as many rides as he could meaning we could all go on the rides as the 3yr old was also ready. My kids love it, highlight of their trip each time and having been to Safari Park once none of them were interested in going again. I find a day at Waterbom so much more fun and relaxing as a day can be going up stairs and zooming down slides.

I was so prepared leading up to this trip, but now there's only just over a week to go and I feel so disorganised!

I'm excited and frightened all at the same time. SO much work to tie up before we go...it will make lying by the pool for days on end that much more satisfying wink.gif

Have fun Ashtonsmum!

Does everyone have vaccinations for Bali ? We went to the dr's on Wednesday (something else) and whilst there I asked our GP, and he said we'll need Hep A, Hep B and he gave us a script for tablets if we get Bali Belly to stop the diarrhea, hope we don't need that, lol. We had vaccinations when we went to Fiji 2 yrs ago, so we had our Typhoid needle then. I had Hep B back then, but didn't have the follow up ones, so my immunity was zero (had a blood test).

48 days for us and I can't wait.
