I decided we needed to be bumped up the page. We nearly slipped off onto the 3rd page! Obviously everyone is busy sewing or getting into the swing of the new year.

I've made a few things here, some book slings and a bean bag for DD (no pics on my blog yet, the space isn't finished) and a couple of car rolls and pencil rolls for friends (again no pics on my blog yet). I'm hoping to get a bit done next week but who knows, I just don't get the time to sew during the day at the moment. The kids are pretty full on. I think it's going to take me 12months to get enough sewing done to attempt to sell anything at this rate wink.gif

I'll BBL for a few personals as I'm off to bed now, just wanted to say hi.

Yay Kattrel and Sunshinedays - nice to see someone still about.
I thought everyone must have moved on to some other site and left me alone... unsure.gif

We just got home from a few days camping out past Beadesert. Our little old caravan was rotting away in the driveway and DS has been asking to go for a trip in it, so this was a trial run to see if we want to plan it on a regular basis. Looks like we might try and make it a regular week-end thing as we had a great, relaxing time, and met some people with kids who do it all the time. Fishing was a bust - DH caught an eel which was exciting, but nothing else. i got lots of knitting time while DH and DS created with the lego (glad we thought to pack it).

Busy unpacking all the sewing and study stuff right now and hope to do some sewing today and tomorrow. I've got a doll quilt to quilt, want to sanwich DS bed quilt ready to go, and want to cut out some simple dresses for the sewalong.

Good luck with the move SSD biggrin.gif Enjoy the sewing room!

looking forward to a blog update Katrell, must dust mine off some time soon as well!

becanne - I LOVE camping. We used to go every year as a kid and to this day, they are still some of my fondest memories. We have taken our kids and they love it too. Nothing quite like being outdoors. We invested in a big canvas tent this year and think it's great although a caravan would make weekend trips so much easier. No major packing before you go, you can just hook up and leave. Glad you got plenty of knitting time, I'll be stalking your blog to see your creations.

sunshinedays - good luck with the move. You'll have to share pics of your sewing room when it's all set up. I love looking at other people's spaces. It makes me wish for one of my own that isn't in my bedroom!

I haven't done much the past few days. Just some cutting out. I'm off to sew up some pencil rolls for a friend so once they're done I will hopefully get onto a few other bits and pieces. I'm hoping to get some sewing done over this week after the kids go to bed.

Hello everyone original.gif

A bit of sewing here, school holidays make it difficult to get lots done original.gif I have finished a quilt for a baby shower, gave it yesterday and it was a hit! I have put pics on my blog. I have been cutting too, once the toddler has gone to bed anyway, she is fascinated by fabric, scissors, the rotary cutter anything she shouldn't have really so cutting while she's awake is tricky.

I am in the process of making a king size quilt for our bed, it's going to be huge! Bit daunting original.gif

Not much is getting done fast though. We went to the central coast for a few days and DS is having his tonsils to tomorrow, throw a busy toddler into the mix and I have not much time for sewing sad.gif oh well school is back in a week, yay!

Sunshinedays - yay on the sewing room, hope the move goes well.

Becanne - camping is great fun! Sounds like a great place you went to.

Kattrel - I have and a market stall last year where i sold some dresses and bags, it was great. I hope to have another this year (hopefully soon). I haven't sold on Facebook or anything yet, but that may be the next step. Markets are good, if you find the right one, but you have to get a lot of stock ready before hand which can be time consuming.

Hi everyone!

I have been here too, but just stalking as I was trying to hold off posting until I had some photos uploaded of my recent creations. But alas - I have forgotten how to upload them and DH has been busy, busy, busy so it hasn't been done yet. Hopefully this week it might happen.

I have been quite slack over the Christmas break from my sewing lessons. I finished off a romper suit with long legs for DD, but need to adjust the elastic in the legs as I made it a bit tight - whoops! Apart from that though, I haven't done anything really except think about what my next project will be when my lessons recommence. I'm thinking a floaty top for me using some Alannah Hill fabric I have in my stash. I am going to try and make a few things for me this year too as, like some of you have mentioned, DD already has HEAPS of clothes.

threebubs - The quilt is gorgeous and I am very jealous of all your other creations as well. Good on you for keeping motivated - definitely inspired me to get busy again!

sunshinedays - Good luck for moving! Make sure you post some pics of your lovely new sewing room when you're in and organised.

Oh well - hopefully be back later in the week with some photos and an update of what I'm getting organised to do.

Hope everyone is well.

Morning original.gif

Katherine - you've been busy original.gif I love the owls, I have seen that fabric at spotlight too. Might have to venture in and see if they have any left...

Maxshim - I usually plan ahead what I am going to see too, although then I sit down and end up doing something totally different original.gif

How is everyone else?

I am looking forward to school going back on Monday! The older two are great at helping with DD2, especially when I want to get some sewing done but I am looking forward to a bit of quiet, and not being constantly asked for things original.gif

At the moment I am sewing some bags, I might have another market stall in April. I am working on a quilt for my and DH's bed, as it's a king it is going to take some time. A friend has asked if I cold do some sort of breastfeeding cover, I found a tutorial on a blog and it has turned out quite good.

I have booked our holiday to the gold coast in march, we are all excited! We haven't been in years, DH and I aren't that fussed about the GC but it will be great for the kids original.gif

Enjoy your Friday...
