It seems grossly unfair that teams that choose to ignore time deadlines are not penalised more heavily. The poor tassie couple could have had their rabbit in for another hour and had a delicious dish, but chose to send it out on time instead. But the guys last night faffed about and took all the time in the world and still scored a 6? Not fair. I reckon the whole dish should be disqualified (and score 0) if they are over a certain time after the limit.

I agree with this. They deserved a low mark due to the time. If all the teams took 3 hours Im sure they all could have done a better job.

Oh yeah...and WTF was up with the table decoration??? roll2.gif I was expecting lots of silver service, perfect settings...not a kids table! And they made fun of the cricket table??? there's was just as poor. And a french name and fine french food does NOT go with that table.

I couldn't believe they were standing in there drinking champagne while they should have been hustling. Most other teams waited until they were DONE before they had a drink.

Agreed, the table setting was horrendous! They definitely had the worst setting.

It seems like they went through a few bottles in the kitchen from what I could piece together.

They clearly have good cooking skills but outside of that are lacking.

Did anyone see them on Channel 7 this morning?

Peter was on Nova Perth radio this morning. He said that yes he is honest about his opinions but what has been edited out are the positive comments he makes. Apparently he balances each negative with a positive but they aren't showing that on TV. That doesn't surprise me but what did surprise me is that he seems to have a good sense of humour when the radio hosts were joking with him. The production team took all the clocks out of the kitchen and they honestly didn't know how long they had worked on the main after entree was served.

If they didn't stuff around with the beans they could have started doing prep for the dessert.

Was the dessert late? I didn't think so.

Another couple was super late with their main (the potential in-laws?) and they didn't receive so much grief. You have to be fair, and not base your score on personality. I think that's what Pete and Manu did, where the contestants based their scoring on their own expecatations (they had high expectations of something really fancy, which isn't the fault of the doc and lawyer) and their personality. Nic and Rocco could have served up a dish of dog poo, and everyone would have given them 10's - especially the two sisters and the potential in-laws. And some contestants were definitely given sympathy scores because they were felt sorry for, even though the meal was lousy. Sure they are free to score as they please, but score low like that just makes them look petty and sour-faced.

I think tonight there looks to be some very strategic scoring going on regardless of the quality of the meal, will be very interesting.

Dessert was served at 1am. And pretty sure it was long after the mains were done.

I think dessert was at least an hour after mains?
I was underwhelmed at their restaurant too.
Did anyone see them on Sunrise?
