Hi, can anyone recommend good sites (free if possible) for learning letters/numbers ect for preschool age? I am getting age appropriate books and he has the tag reader but he also likes games (mainly Thomas The Tank) on the computer. I have heard reading eggs are good but not sure whether it's worth the cost? His preschool teacher has mentioned something along those lines for learning would be good and if I can sit with him and go through things he will enjoy doing that would be great. TIA. original.gif

www.starfall.com is a free site for letters with a paid section that isn't required, though because my DD loves music I paid the small fee for all the extra songs.

I've also used www.ixl.com which has 20 questions free trial each day for maths practice.

DD who is 3.3 years is really getting into reading eggs lately, you can use the free trial period to see whether your DS is interested. Recently there was a thread on EB regarding promotional codes which one or two may still work to extend the trial period to make sure your DS is still interested or may become interested after a few weeks.

I hope these help.

Perhaps try the free trial of reading eggs. I am very impressed by it.

My eldest loves starfall.com would play it all day every day if I let him. It is a great little site and it interests him when it is very hard to get him interested in different things
