Kind of random I know but I am wanting to try and do some time lapse photography and time lapse videography and I am after ideas for plants that I could use which have flowers that open quite quickly, like over only a ew hours as opposed to days.
Any suggestions? |

I have no idea but I remember reading somewhere about using a hairdryer on cut flowers to help them open
I might google this, it would be nice to have flowers that bloomed before I managed to kill them |

Thanks beltie but I think it might be a bit late for passionfruit, all the vines around here already have fruit on them? Do they flower continuously or would that be it for this year?

Ours is still flowering. Enormous, beautiful flowers. It is called Big Bopper.
It might still be going because the possums and fruit bats take all the fruit. Another beauty (shortish summer flowering season) is cistus. I have one which is covered in hundreds of small buds which open really quickly into 5cm flowers that look like crumpled tissue paper (like poppy petals). |

Four o'clock flowers (mirabilis jalapa) open over a few hours in the afternoon. They are a bit old-fashioned, mine have pink and yellow striped flowers.
Daylilies open over a day, and they aren't too hard to find. |
