I don't like lending my books to people.. I'll admit it. I feel selfish, but that's me. Too many times I've received them back in bad condition, when they left here perfect!

Does anyone else feel the same?

My relative wants to borrow a series of my books, and I feel I can't say no as we are quite close and I know it will offend her!

I'm happy to lend books once I have read them but my problem is people pushing books on me! I am terribly forgetful and, although I would always treat a book well and it would be returned in as good a condition as it left, I have problems returning.

If I want to read a book I will buy it - I loathe borrowing but some people just will not take no for an answer!

I would just make an excuse when it is brought up (you promised it to someone else, you are about to read again), hopefully they will get the hint and stop asking.

Now if I can just come up with an excuse not to take a book biggrin.gif
