Hi ladies,
I'm going to dust off my sewing machine and have a go at making my own fitted cot sheets. I'm wondering, what's the best place to find affordable but really nice fabric with cute patterns? I've found a couple of sites online but the prices seem pretty steep. I don't have any fabric shops near me other than a Spotlight, which I haven't checked out yet... |

Spotlight might have some. If you are looking for flannelette sheet material you might be in luck as they sometimes have the wider widths. ie 140 or 150cm wide. If you are in WA check out Textile traders as they sometimes have a good range of sheeting.

You shouldnt need fabric that is more than the normal width.
I made my own cot fitted sheets and bought quilters cotton and the width was perfect Have a look at Spotlight. They have really picked up their game recently and have some nice fabrics that would be great for cot sheets. Otherwise, I use www.fabric.com, www.hawthornethreads.com. They are online sites (USA) and they are much cheaper than Aus sellers, however you will have to pay shipping. |

If you are looking online, etsy can be a great place to source fabric, just make sure you check the postage rates for each seller.
