I made my Mums recipe last week and I don't know, I didn't rave about them.
SO I want a fantastic recipe - can you help ? I did love the look of the BHG last night but can't find it online and we live OS - I can't view the episode online If I can make some good ones I will take them to the Dawn service next week we are heading to Bomana War Cemetery and I would love to take some along to share... |

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar 125gms butter Small teaspoon baking soda 1 cup coconut 1 cup rolled oats 1 tablespoon golden syrup 2 tablespoons boiling water. Mix dry ingredients together. Melt butter and syrup in boiling water, then add soda. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Roll into balls and bake is moderate oven, about 10-12 mins. The above works well for crunchy Anzacs, if you prefer them chewier, use half a cup of white sugar and half a cup of brown sugar. |

These are without doubt the best ANZAC bikkies around (and I've tried lots):
http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/2009/04/...uit-recipe.html They also have a different recipe if you like softer ones. |

I also do the same as Jemstar although for chewy ones I just bake for a shorter time. I'll also confess that I love to eat this raw

I make mine constantly for DH when he has film shoots - and I'm getting a name for myself! This is my recipe:
1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup rolled oats Mix together 125g butter 2 tbsp golden syrup 1 tsp vanilla Melt together 2 tbsp boiling water 1 tsp baking soda Mix together Combine all and roll into small balls. Bake at 190C for 8-9 minutes until just golden. I like mine slightly raw still in the centre... |

I like the Family Circle recipe - pretty much the same as above, but with only 2/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup golden syrup.
