First!

Kidneys are killing me! Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon. I think I will have to make tomorrow my rest day.

It's a girl!!!!
I think there's a lot more to weight and weight loss than just calories. ie GI and blood sugar levels and the proportion of fats v proteins v carbs v alcohol calories and time of eating in relation to sleep/exercise.

And of course it's worth a try. It's good to shake up the system a bit. If you always do what you've always done.... and all that.

As for me. Didn't have a great weekend. Was in pain, stiff neck, sore back. ate a lot to compensate. shrug. I needed to comfort myself. It would be nice if I was so emotionally and mentally evolved that I could recognise what I was doing at the time.

Anyway, I had my "other" Mother's Day gift arrive from America - a pile of Yoga DVDs. I am so excited. I took them to bed last night just to sit there and stroke them.

Hahahaha.

I still intend to do all my other DVDs before this challenge is over - but I need more yoga in my life. It's good for me.

Ciao

You're doing it wrong Symone! Yoga's good for your body and your mind (and it's the only thing I'm better than my DDs at on the wii!)
Hope you're feeling OK Lex. I'm battling another cold so not feeling very energetic again this week. Would like to be over it all and get some energy back.
Hi to everyone and hope you're still on board!

Triple treat- it is awful being sick! Hope you are better soon. I couldn't run again today, but I did a few push ups and sit ups and arm weights and I have taekwondo tonight.

Symone- I like yoga, especially the relaxation stuff, but I don't have time for it. My focus is still on weightloss and toning.

GIO- hope you are feeling better.

Mum was telling me not to lose more weight as my face is getting lined. I agree it is and now I understand why young celebrities get face fillers, cos you can't be super thin without losing fat in your face and looking gaunt. The thing is, I am not super thin, just getting older. So now I have to choose between lined face or wobbly arms and tummy! I am still aiming for 52, I can always get fatter again!

Good luck everyone!

Well this is slow going but at least still heading in the right direction!

GL 5kg
CL .4kg
LL 2.5kg

This week I will be trying to watch what I eat (and drink!) over the weekend. Hopefully it will make a difference.

Lex I thought my skin was looking pretty good for my age: turned out I needed new glasses!

Hi!
I'm still around and still eating wellish. I have lots of food issues and they have just gone a bit crazy of late. I am covered in a rash and have a wicked all day stomachache. Sucks but it does stop me eating processed food at all. So I can see I am losing weight but my scales are stuffed AGAIN. I seriously have the worst scale luck!

I buy moderately priced ones and end up with them going funky after about a year. I don't keep them in the bathroom either, so they aren't getting damp. I am going to buy a new battery, even though they are supposed to last for a very long time. Each time I step on them I weigh different random weights. Frustrating!

So I don't know what I currently weigh but my abs are coming out more and more, so I presume my weight is still headed down. I will buy the new battery today and weigh in as planned tomorrow and see if I like the numbers biggrin.gif

Lexillotti-hope you are feeling better by now.

GIO-I like yoga but I can't seem to motivate myself to do it at home. I lose interest and turn it off! I hope you are feeling better now.

Triple Treat-Well done with the loss. I hear you on the weekends. It's small miracle when I eat well all weekend.

Actually I'm really enjoying this yoga.

http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Zone-Beginners-...n/dp/B00006G8HE

This is the pack I got - so 11 dvds in total. And what has finally clicked for me is that yoga should be harder each time you do it - because you work more on the correct posture each time and try to improve on the asanas.

Anyway, what I particularly love is the meditations. I bought them on VHS years and years ago and even put them onto cassette so I could listen to it when I was on the train. I used the meditation through all four of my pregnancies, so I'm really happy to have it on dvd.

I'm still determined to get through all my other dvds though, and thus far I've completed 18 of 32.

Food wise - I struggle a bit. Wish I wasn't such a good cook. LOL. We did that cider tin chicken from Masterchef on Sunday - OMG delicious with spotted d1ck dessert and then last night goat curry and DH did sticky date pudding.

Ciao

im still around. I havent been feeling great lately, I think I had a gastro bug thing & I have spent a lot of the last week on the toilet. Better now though, so back into focus.

I havent been doing too much exercise this last week. I have still been trying to walk to school though & we went on a walk & bike ride with the kids last weekend. I ended up giving DD1 a running piggy back for about 1 km, so I think I did pretty well with that & best of all my pelvic floor held up!

The last couple of weeks I have been doing a big grocery shop on the weekend to last us the week, with only one shop mid week for bread & milk. I have found this has helped me to curb impulse buys like chocolate, cakes or bread rolls, better for the budget too.

I have a dvd of a yoga/pilaties combo which I quite enjoy doing. I find im much more relaxed after doing it, as long as I dont get interrupted during the dvd. I also feel more toned when I do it reguarlly.

My stomach is still my problem area & now I keep getting told that I will always have a rounded tummy because I had a caeser, does anyone know if there is any truth to this?
