Going into labour will certainly count as a legitimate excuse for missing an exam! I would ring and talk to the distance ed group however and talk about your options. Some courses may work better than others this semester.

They are very understanding for lesser reasons so I would not hold off as you have the entire leaning period and you may not even go into labour until after the exams.....
I think the law exams are pretty early on in the exam period as I am studying Psych through them and they are always early and last week there were many Law exams running at the same time!
