This is what we call the MUPPET SHOW!
OMG!! I never usually watch this but due to our normal routine being thrown out of whack, when I went to sit down for 15 minutes to eat my lunch this was on.

I was so totally transfixed and just couldn't switch over or turn it off! I cried and cried and cried and then cried some more!

Yes I know we don't live in an ideal world but until you see something right in front of you it is very easy to forget about it all iykwim!

I know that every country (including ours)has it's own issues of homelessness, poverty, persacution, etc but my heart went out to those beautiful little girls in china sad.gif

Oh I feel so very thankful for who I am and where I am right now!

*hugs* to your little ones

My Family is Complete!
I'm in Perth so just finished watching this, those China girls had me in tears and the sight of that poor girl in the 'dying room' had me literally sobbing and wishing i'd never seen it.

my girl had heaps of hugs after seeing that sad.gif

I felt sick when i saw the little girl in the dying room. I cant believe that sort of thing goes on. I reckon if they have the law that they can only have one child per family then the woman should have her tubes tied so she doesnt have any unwanted or unallowed pregnancies!

It isnt fair to see those poor little darlings left to die!

that was one of the saddest things I have ever seen, I cant believe this happens, and I know its easy for us to say why didnt the camera crew help that little girl in the dying room, the suffering she must have went through is appaling, its just not fair that children should have to suffer fullstop. Bawled my eyes out.

Well basically it was orphaned babies, girls in China, and I dont know if I would call these places orphanges, but the standards were appalling, legs tied to chairs to stop them moving, there little bodies hardly covered in clothes, they were also tied to potties, it was horrible, and then there was a room that was known as the dying room, where I guess the real sickly babies went, to basically die, no one helped them, they I guess staved eventually, one littel girl they showed had been in there for I think 5 - 10 days, when the camera crew went in it was horrible, and when they went back a few days later she had died, the sight of her was horrible i just wanted to put her our of her misery and pain, I am guessing she would have been maybe 4... you wouldnt do this to an animal what is done to them, gee I have tears even writing this, its not fair to bring children into the world and have them suffer unecesaarily, that little girl must have known nothing but pain.

I cant write anymore its just too sad.

Oh my goodness, I am crying again and I was bawling my head off for ages yesterday over that, I would adopt a baby from china or more but its not practical when we have four and ttc a fifth, your heart wants to but can you really do it financially, morally yes I would do it rather than see any child die. I never saw this part just the end where the little girls got their new families, its so nice to see the government will allow this, I cant stand how they treat little girls there, like the lady said they need little girls to have these little boys dont they. So cruel, I cant stand it.

Sleep -perchance to just SLEEP.
Glad I wasn't the only one crying my eyes out.

As an Aussie to adopt a child from China costs in excess of $10,000 not including that airfares to China to collect the little bundle of joy. This is an Austrailan DOCS cost. I am unsure how much if any actually goes to China or the orphanages.

I was in China in 1999 and one of the most amazing sights I saw in Shanghai was TWIN GIRLS in their pram, every single person in our group gave the girls a 'gift' (read money) for luck. The parants were saying they could never have done it without the support of their parents as you actually lose Gov benefits if you live in a city and have more than one child.

And they comment about the Little Emperors is very very true, spoilt rotten, over weight kids in all the malls in Beijing and Shanghai...

Thanks Littleman for filling me in..

Glad I didn't see the episode, it sounds so sad and I would have felt so helpless.

I can't watch children in pain or upset, it breaks my heart.....
