Thanks to some response to a previous thread (thanks girls!!) I have started using Calorieking to track food and exercise to help shift these last 5kg or so

But now i am confused about the number of calories I am supposed to eat huh.gif

Initially, Calorie King told me 1330 calories per day for weight loss - all good, can do that easy enough (although have had to make a few changes to get the balance of fat/protein/carbs right). But then I add in the exercise for the day and it seems to be indicating that I need to eat back all of those calorie! For example, today I will do a Pump Class and a Core Class + walking so I have entered that in this morning when I put in my breakast/coffee/morning tea - and it is still saying I have 1996 calories remaining for the day!

There is no way I could eat over 2000 calories per day. Plus, wouldn't it be better to have a bigger calorie deficit?

Any explanations/experiences are appreciated original.gif

You don't need to eat back all of the calories but make sure you are having enough protein and carbs for muscle recovery and mood stabilisation.

I am doing a food excercise diary and I get 1900 calories a day for a small weight loss and 3-4 workouts a week.

1330 is quite low for someone excercising. Could you aim for 1600 calories a day?

I don't eat back calories as it kind of defeats the purpose if you're trying to lose weight.

If I've done intense exercise that day and I'm still hungry I'll definately eat extra fruit or some more good quality food but as rule I don't eat back calories.
I would do this if I wanted to maintain my weight.
