I've been off work for 2 weeks and came back today to discover the cost of parking in the Canberra Centre for all day has gone up from $20 to $30! I'm usually in too late to get parking on the roof. It was $10. Does anyone know what it is now?

I'm not sure where else I can park as I'm usually in quite late after dropping the kids off at daycare. Maybe I just need to start getting up earlier.

the parking does a big jump after 5 hours, so if you can move the car out and back in at lunchtime it is less than 30.00 - I was shocked too.

So I could just 'lose' my ticket each day and still only pay $20?!?

When I worked in the Canberra Centre a couple of years ago, I found it more economical to take a bus into work. I would drop my son at his child care and drive to the nearest shopping centre where I could park for free all day and then catch the bus. The bus would leave every 15 minutes in the morning and afternoon so there was a lot of flexibility if I missed one.

I dont' think those prices are right.. It was definitely 30.00 a day last week.

But if you stay for two lots of 4 hours, or 5 hours and 3 hours you can still come in under 20.00.

If you get in before 9.30am, there are usually still all-day parks on level 3 or level 4 (rooftop) of the Aldi carpark. I've noticed that the Target rooftop seems to fill up faster than Aldi.
