I have no idea what to wear. Do people wear wedding dresses? toned down/simple styles? maxi dresses?

I wasn't going to dress up but then my friends told me they have bought an outfit to wear and now I think I better dress up.

The whole idea came about by accident and what was suppose to be a family getaway with about 3 other families which has tuned into about 7 families, 50+ppl and my friend is bringing her in laws which is the head pastor at his church. Very grateful I have such wonderful friends lol I don't think I have even had the time to tell dh the details yet.

There are so many cheap wedding dresses nowadays online, even around $100. I would love to wear a simple lace dress but then I want something I can also wear again. Problem is that anything floor length and white/ivory just looks like a wedding dress. But i definitely want to wear white/ivory.

Carla Zampatti makes beautiful things and this isn't too weddingy in my opinion http://www.carlazampatti.com.au/Shop/Shop_...rtiti-Gown.html

I struggled to find a short white lace dress for my wedding to no avail: I ended up having to get one made and it cost over $3000. Bah! I did find short white lace dresses afterward over the summer 2011/2012 when browsing myer/djs.

I always planned to wear my original wedding dress, but I had a skirt and beaded bodice, and I wore the top with a black skirt to 2 black tie functions last year, so I think I'll get something new. We are renewing our vows on the beach, so i am thinking of getting a silk maxi, something like this

*mid aug this yr
*asian 164cm 54kg size 8/10
*don't really wear A line dresses
* Novotel Twin waters (just finding a spot on the grass by the lagoon)...very casual. Probably about 10:30am then photos and lunch. There will be about 22 kids!!

There's a lot of short skater style cream lace dresses atm but I feel it's too casual.

I would love to wear a simple strapless, mermaid style dress but I don't want to spend too much.

I really like this dress. There's a code for further 15% off and free delivery. But I don't know how reliable this site is.

omg I think I made an impulse buy today. I bought the most beautiful dress but I don't think it's appropriate for a morn vow renewal lol I'm sad I have to return it.

It's the Charlie Brown Princess Charlotte range from $499 to $299 with a further 25% so only $224. The quality and fit is amazing and it looks amazing on. Just need to take it up about 2inch.

If only it was a cha, page or ivory but it's a dark deep purple. I actually love the colour but not for the event. Such a beautiful dress and such a bargain but I will never wear it since I have nothing formal enough to wear it to.

It's a 'red carpet' dress...just stunning. I am also in love with the mermaid style, it's sooo flattering.

That dress is gorgeous! You should wear it - it's your day, and it's a renewal, so it doesn't have to be white/ivory.

Wow! Glamour plus with that beautiful gown! I'm sure you'l look amazing in it original.gif

I was just coming to suggest this lil cutie: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/196809 ... I think if there's any time a girl can go all out with feathers or sequins its her vow renewal.... But it looks like you're more than covered original.gif

I also quite like a lot of BCBG for reasonable prices... Like this: http://www.shopbop.com/amber-strapless-cas...534374302063518

Lots of nice beaded belts on etsy too to zhush it up:

I think it is really beautiful. Deep purple would be gorgeous...I;ve been to Novotel Twin Waters and I am imgaining you can dress the area with lots of white flowers, white flowers in your hair, carrying white flowers, make your husband wear white/champagne etc.

It is important that you feel good and it really sounds like you do in that dress.
