spending less time on EB and more time with a book
Schoolkids bonus thru today for DD so I want to get an Ipad.

The prices on them seem to be standard in the various stores I have checked online, so Im wondering if anyone knows if they ever go on sale? Reason being I want to get a few accessories as well, which will bump up the cost.

TIA

Give me my coffee and no one gets hurt!!!
Apple are pretty strict about the sale price of their products. Usually the only time they get reduced is if there is a new model coming out. They then discount the older model.

If you go to places like JB HiFi they will often do a bundle, so they write down the cost of the accessories rather then the Apple product to give you a discount.

ETA. I hope this thread doesn't get read by some posters and flamed like the old baby bonus and buying a plasma tv!

Apple are really tight on their profit margins for distributors of their products. Companies don't make a lot of money for selling Apple products and therefore can't afford to discount them by much. Lego is very similar. I know d*ck Smith have 10% off Apple at the moment, not sure if it includes iPads, but that's about the most you'll ever find off them, online or in store.

I think this situation is different because the school kids bonus or ETR is meant to be to cover costs of stationery, computers etc. The baby bonus was meant to set you up to care and provide for your baby which many argue a Plasma TV doesn't do.
