QUOTE (Lexillotti @ 26/07/2012, 11:23 AM) *
Yay winterdanceshere, that is great! You will only be a better partner and mother for doing things for yourself and feeling good about yourself. What is the course?

Thanks Lexillotti, I hope that is how things work out, but I know I just could not keep going the way I was.

Course is Cert IV in Accounting. I started a Business degree 4 years ago and was planning to do accountancy then, but then I injured myself, moved, had DS so it all got dropped. Goal is to get through the certificate and then go back to higher level study.

My fitness goal is to just make moving part of my life. I have no reason to be tied to a computer 7+ hours a day so just to get out and move and have fun with DS. Walk to the park, walk to the library for storytime. I don't drive so that makes it a bit easier, if I want to get out I have to walk.

I am also off shoe shopping on Saturday and am going to get fitted for some good walking shoes, so that should eliminate "but my feet hurt" as an excuse.

Welcome L!zz!e. you need to nominate a weight loss goal, and decide if you are to try to eat healthier, exercise or both. There are about 5 weeks left in this challenge. We have just started doing daily challenges, but they are optional. Few of us are on myfitnesspal, so if you join there tell us your username so we can add you.

Wow - this thread is moving quickly! Only just got my list on the first page.

WinterDancesHere - Congratulations on your decision to look after yourself. I only do contract work, so it really comes & goes. Some time it is close to full time with long hours. During the last 2 months it has been really quiet with only a couple of hours. I've really enjoyed being able to take the time to look after myself & as a result I'm being a better Mum & partner, plus feeling fantastic original.gif

L!zz!e - Welcome!

manlou4 - Good luck tomorrow. One of my close friends studied to be a teacher just before she got pregnant with her first. I remember how nervous she was actually starting in the classroom, especially after a decent break between her study & actually teaching!

Doing well today. Tried to copy some mushrooms from a cafe that I love - mushrooms with balsamic, basil & garlic. (Plus a tiny bit of olive oil & fresh cracked pepper.) Even my 2 yo loved them - gave them a "yummo" rating! Had it with eggs & toast. Fantastic brunchy meal for after a big morning of working out!
