This has probably been asked before....but at what age is it safe to give babies full cream milk, cheese and eggs and basically any other food? I simply can't remember when I started those foods on my daughter!!!

Here's some info I just got from the CHN yesterday (HEINZ fridge magnet chart).
IF YOUR FAMILY HAS NO HISTORY OF ALLERGIES....
Milk, cheese, yoghurt from 6 months. Still use breast or formula for "milk feeds" till 12 months.
Eggs - well cooked yolk from 6 months. Whole egg at 12 months.
Delay till 12 months - peanut butter (some say 3-5 yrs)
and honey.
Anything that's a choking risk - nuts, hard fruit and veges - after 5 yrs.
IF THERE ARE ALLERGIES IN THE FAMILY
Delay major allergens - eggs, fish/seafood, wheat (and I would add cow's milk here) until after 12 months.

The info I was reading today at my DDs Child Care centre (not sure who it was issued from) said no dairy till 9 months, egg yolk at 9 months, egg white at 12 months.

There is never a straight answer to a question is there? :confuse:

I always erred on the side of caution - whats an extra 3 months or so if it is going to prevent a possible lifetime of allergies/intolerances etc?

But, like everything in regards to parenting its your call.
