I have heard that they are ok for the first few months. For absorption, they may not be good when the baby gets older and starts to wee more. Having said all of that, any cloth is better than a disposable.

i'm happily using cloth, but trying to wean dh off disposables.... he agreed that he would use fitted cloth nappies if i bought some, but the problem is that i can't afford new (I've read all the reviews on this site which recommend all the UK brands) so am looking out on ebay... hey, (duh) perhaps i should look into UK ebay..

Hi karen
I have used them and agree they might be alright for young babies, but werent absorbent enough for when my baby was older. I have used funky buns (Australian fitted nappies that are sized) and found them too be really good. under the website for K'eltorr designs. I have also heard zappy nappies are good which are also Australian. My breakthrough with using cloth was discovering motherease (air flow)wraps - haven't had one leak since using them. Might be worth keeping an eye out for some of them if you are checking out UK or US ebay.
Hope you have some luck
