Just got a flyer for it in my Koorong catalogue...

it's got a blurb about it being the 400th anniversary of the Portuguese explorer - Pedo Fernandez de Quiros - declaring Australia 'the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit' - on Pentecost weekend in 1606...

I never knew that's where the term came from...I always thought it was the title of a modern worship song!

Do we know anything more about this Pedro bloke? Is anyone here involved in the National Day of Thanksgiving?

Just interested as apart form this flyer I haven't heard anything about it...my DS2 is due on the day though!
