Ok, do you offer different meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks every day of the week?
My DD's are great eaters though DD1 definately has her favourite meals. She asks for a lot of the same things every day and I am wondering if I should make her have something else.
She has:
the same breakfast every day (Weetbix though I do alternate and add a handful of Just Right, Sultana Bran or Rice Bubbles as she doesn't like it plain). She has a vegemite and cheese sandwich on wholemeal about 5 times a week and has pretty much the same fruit as snacks each day (mandarins and apples) and the same yoghurt. The only thing that definately varies every day is dinner (what we have) and every few days I will change something but she then asks for the same normal thing the next day.
I hate eating the same thing every day, but she insists.
So I ask, do you vary your childrens meals daily?

yes and no.
breakfast is almost always the same - weetbix and toast. when i make porridge i offer them that but they always say no.
lunch is always sandwiches but does vary - sometimes it's a prepared meal too, sometimes some finger foods, sometimes some leftover hot meal from the freezer.
dinner is almost always sandwiches or toast, sometimes turkish bread, but they are always served whatever we are having. mostly they won't eat it, but they are served it anyway and every so often they surprise us! dessert is always yoghurt or apple or occasionally icecream or jelly.

Breakfast most days is 1/2 weetbix + muesli + tinned fruit + yoghurt all mixed together.
Lunch a rice cake sandwhich with cheese for DD, no cheese for DS.
Tea changes.
Snacks fruit and whatever treat I've made up.

DS has very little variation in his diet. The reason for that is that overall he eats a huge range of things, and he eats very healthily.
Breakfast: 3 weetbix. He eats it and never complains. Weetbix is the BEST cereal you can eat, so I feel no need to give him something else just because. In winter, breakfast is sometimes porrage.
Lunch: Sandwich on seedy bread with either vegemite, cheese, or ham.
Dinner: The main things on our list are meat and vege, stew, spag bol, stir fry.
Snacks: Fruit, yoghurt, cheese, and the odd milk arrowroot.

I'm a bad mumma or so some will think when you read what I feed DS but I choose what I like to feed him.
Breakfast is either toast, sandwich or nutella during the week and on weekends soft boiled egg with bread to dip.
Lunch during the week is always chicken roll sandwich and on weekends is maccas on saturdays and on sundays is spaghetti.
Dinner is usually a chicken stir fry, steak and veges, rissoles and veges or fish and veges.
Snacks at school is fruit, chips, biscuits, nutella, milky way or muesli bar.

Yes, Nathan's diet is quite varied because he loves to eat and loves trying new things. For example, he hasn't had the same thing for breakfast this week yet at all: oatmeal with raisins, toast with peanut butter and jam, toast with sliced turkey, fruit salad... he would get bored if he had the same thing everyday.
The same is true of lunch and dinner. I'm not a huge fan of repetition, and so try not to repeat meals during a given month. (For that reason I have a huge "master list" of 50-60 meals and I just rearrange them and add new ones each month.)

My boys eat the same every day just about.
aidan and caleb eat
breakfast: 5 weetbix, few sultanas and a handful of rice bubbles
morning tea: fruit, 1-2 pieces, varies according to season
lunch: multigrain bread and eitehr vegemite, peanut butter, honey or jam
afternoon tea: rice bikkies/fruit
dinner: varies every night but sausages and vegies, spag bol, lasagne, tuna bakes and stir frys are favourites (all home made)
Jacob, his diet is the same every day at the moment, will be for a while.
breakfast: rice bubbles and bottle rice milk
morning tea: rice cakes and half pear
lunch: preservative free white bread or rice cakes with nuttelex and grilled chicken or pear if he has not had it already, bottle of rice milk
afternoon tea: rice cakes or rice bikkies
dinnner: rice noodles or pasta and failsafe chicken sausages.

We have a varied diet here. The kids can tend to get bored otherwise.
Breakfast is a mixture of toast, weetbix, ricebubbles, porridge, pancakes, eggs.
Lunch is eggs, baked beans, pancakes, chicken nuggets, sausage rolls ( both homemade). Sandwiches, rice cakes, leftovers. I think that's about it lol.
Tea is whatever we are having.
Snacks is fruit, yoghurt cheese, sultanans, dried apricots. Homemade cakes and muffins. Mainly fruit based ones.Dry biscuits.
I think thats about it. Sure I've missed all their favourites too lol.

It is pretty varied.
Breakfast - It could be weetbix, oats, toast, boiled egg. We let him decide normally.
Lunch - he would eat salmon every day if we let him! So either salmon, tuna, vegemite and cheese sandwiches plus sliced tomato, sliced mushroom and fruit. Or leftovers.
Dinner - whatever we have.
Snacks - fruit, rice cakes, sultanas,

Breakfast:
Home: Harley always has 2 weetbix (sometimes with yoghurt or dried fruit on them)
Daycare: he gets a choice between weetbix, cornflakes and toast)
Lunch:
Home: A sandwich of some sort; sometimes Ham and cheese, vegemite & cheese, yoghurt and fruit
Daycare: a cooked meal (except for Thursday which is a sandwich day) and then apple and cheese
Dinner
He eats what we eat. We always have a different meat and either potato or rice. But he gets cauliflower, brocolli and pumpkin without fail because he eats them.
Some nights, we have homemade pizza (he helps make it) where he has tomato paste, ham and cheese.

Varied diet at this household otherwise they get bored and won't eat it, which makes me cross as I've gone to the trouble of preparing it and then it's wasted!!
I sat down with my family and did up a menu which is based on a fornightly rotation. Everyone had some input of what they like and dislike including dd who is 4 and I generally follow it 80%

of the times unless we go out for tea.
When my eldest was a toddler there was no varied diet, he ate the same thing day in day out except for dinner and the fillings in his sandwich at lunchtime (ahh those were the good old days

)
