Kick up the butt for me tongue.gif

oooooooooh I feel like I've emerged from a fog!!! Hamish only woke for a feed at 1am and 5.30am which is a vast improvement from being wide awake from 2.30am the night before. I feel so refreshed that I've done my tummy crunches, been on the x-trainer and chopped veges for tea!! Poor Hamish had to watch all that and is now so tired he's off for his nap while I have my porridge.

About time I did a few personals!!

Nadine - Happy six months to Kayla yesterday and fab news too.

Kylie1979 - Hamish isn't on solids yet - he must be about the only one!!
We are going to the mothers group talk on introducing solids today so he may well be on them tomorrow.

Jeanelle - how did you go finding cook tops? Don't think you've said already?

Chantz - I can't believe how much gorgeous hair Tiahni has!

Threeforme - Hamish was born big too and has never looked back!!

Lisa - Thanks for asking, my op was minor and all better now biggrin.gif

Delbo - Thanks for reminding me about keeping dozy myself when feeding Hamish in the night - I now sit with my eyes closed.

Kylie - Oh my goodness - hopefully we get to see you on Fri smile1.gif

Tammie - it took me back seeing your pregnancy ticker!! - sounds like you're doing great!

Melinda - your poor dad!!

JenRen - the nails sound nice - I'm thinking maybe a pedicure next week for me!

Jay-em-cee - loved your pics!

mumof7 - loved the shots of yoghurt on Destinees face - hehe

KimV - Penny's outfit is gorgeous! It's so hard when most of their outfits are gorgeous and they go through them so fast.

Karen - Laura is loving that biscuit!!! - we're off to the solids talk today so Hamish might be starting very soon.

Best things bought - two prams - one for the car - McLaren stroller and big one at home for walking. I would reccomend that to anyone!

Father's Day - I have a brilliant plan for Dh's pressie - well I think it is!!!! I'm going to put some of Hamish's hand prints on paper with paint - add a couple of photos and Happy Fathers Day then take a digital photo of it and take it down to Harvey Norman to make it into a mousepad. May even go the whole way and do the photo on a mug too for DH to use at work.

Right I think that's about all from me.
Looking forward to the Perth meet on Fri!!
xx
Morts!
Helen - Great Fathers Day pressie idea! I wanted to do something like that as well but had forgotten that Harvey Norman did those things. Might have to go down there and have a look. See you Friday!!
Alli0205
Hi girls,

Well, I'm still trying to catch up....I think when I left we were at around thread 89...and now we're on 104 original.gif I'm up to 95 so I think I'll just skim the rest and get back online properly tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are some pics from the August Sydney meet. I've put thumbnails so as not to take up too much room, so just click to enlarge!

Helen- Thanks for the happy 6 month wishes. YAY on hamish sleeping well last night original.gif Kayla did the opposite LOL. I am going to do the same for DH and put a photo of Kayla on a mug for him original.gif Yes I agree with the prams. We have a bertini, but have now bought a valco stroller for when I am alone. The Bertinti is now used if we go out walking or to parks etc, and I use the stroller in shopping centres. Works out great original.gif

Alli- Thanks for the pics original.gif
Delbo
Good afternoon from Zombie Land. Charlotte is sick and I was up every hour with her during the night. She has a nasty cough and is breathing very rapidly so taking her to the DR's this arvo. Was up twice with Emma overnight and once with Jacob wetting the bed at 3am. So needless to say I feel very wacko.gif .

Sara and Mel - We are most likely heading up to Qld between 18th and 26th September. We are still deciding where to stay. Have you been to Coloundra before? What is it like? Would love to catch up if we can. smile1.gif

Polly - I have put you in the diary. Looking forward to meeting you. smile1.gif

Got to go and deal with Charlotte. Will BBL if I can.

HI there,

my sister just told me she was going to sell her wiggles tickets on ebay - but only for face value plus postage. So, I thought, if she doesn't want to make a profit ayway she might as well sell them to nice people! Sydney Ent Cent 16th dec 1pm 2 tickets ( under 12m dont need a ticket). PM me if interested otherwise she'll ebay them in a day or so. Also, if anyone sees or contacts Christy could you let her know, dunno if Jem is into wiggles but she's the right age and the right city so maybe?

I'm at home todayhaving cancelled all plans to let Sarah have all her day sleeps for a change. We've been so busy lately she's been mostly fitting in with us and I felt bad. Over the weekend we had a 30th and a 40th and also coffee for another friends b'day. She slept a little and was really good - but it wasn't the same as being at home in her own bed with her mobile and music etc.

Anyway, now she'd down again I shoul ddo some more study - assignment time is looming!! ph34r.gif ohmy.gif ph34r.gif I always find it worse than exam time.

cheers

Katie

Lisa - yes,its in sydney. I just added that to the original post now
Delbo
Hi all,

Lisa - yes DH is back thank goodness. Although we are both tired it will be good to have his help tonight getting the kids into bed. Good luck for the move tomorrow. smile1.gif

Karen - I can't belive that Emma will be 7 months in a few days time. ohmy.gif It is going too fast. But like you I am really enjoying Emma at the moment. So happy and chatty.

Nadine - I am so glad that Kayla is OK.

Oh man I can't remember anything else.

Need sleep.

Georgina

Good Arvo Everyone

KylieBubsy – Last night I dreamt that you did another test and it was a BFP. Hopefully if it isn’t a BFP that you’ll be able to get it all sorted.

Georgina – John says that he now likes you even more after your ‘Go Tigers’ comment. Yep he follows Richmond. When it’s an Eagles vs Tigers game there are a lot of arguments in our house. But too bad. Tiahni was born in WA and will follow Eagles. Although I’m happy as long as it is any team except: Dockers, Carlton or Essendon

Karen – Looks like Laura enjoyed her milk arrowroot.

HAPPY 6 MONTHS KAYLA AND ELLAH FOR YESTERDAY AND HAPPY 7 MONTHS TO LAURA

KylieBB – Hello J GO EAGLES J J J Hope the kids are giving you an easier time. Tiahni has those won’t have her food days too. She soon gets over it. If Abbi is sleepy etc constantly then maybe take her to the Doc. If she is energetic and happy should be OK.

Jeanelle – Don’t worry about not ‘making’ something. We are all busy mum’s and don’t have a lot of time as it is. We all understand. I’m cheating myself. I make up a heap of cheese balls and freeze them for use whenever. So all I have to do is take one out the freezer and cut up some carrot and celery. Oops secret is out

Helen – Wow. Great ideas for Fathers Day. Where do you get the Mugs done?

Petrol – Petrol is just under $1.30 here. Will probably go up soon.

Best Baby Item – Jitter buggy car. Keeps her entertained for ages and I’d have paid $1,000 for it if I had to. And also the portacot which is currently being used as a play pen.

Worst Baby Item – I don’t think we have one, except for the tiny wraps we were given, although they are very useful as dusting rags.

Us – Just the usual. Tiahni is crawling kind of. She keeps flopping herself down and then picks herself up again. Work still sucks and DH is doing a great job at home. We had the termite inspection yesterday for the house and apparently all is OK. 17 more working days to go minus Friday *cough* *cough* hahahaha
partyof4
Hello,

Went to see the echn and Lil is only 6 kgs! I have no concerns whatsoever cause she is healthy and definetely happy but I guess the nurse has to give suggestions...I hadnt seen her before..and found her a bit annoying..it was almost like she was trying to trip me up by askin questions over n over rolleyes.gif anyway she told me I have to come back in 3 weeks to check her weight again. Really hope I dont get her again.

Katie- I would snap up those tix but yay my Sis scored 6 tickets for the Monday one. I am not taking Lil cause I think she is too young and I will prolly need to keep Char from running on stage

Best Baby item: Grobags! I have stocked up the 6-18mths size aswell in 2.5 and 1.0 togs & a Shape O although Lil just shakes it and makes big racket.

Worst: Cant think of any atm.

Georgina- Sorry to hear about your sleepless night..hope things are peaceful tonight I cant complain cause after I put Lil down for sleep at about 10:30pm I was so tired and I didnt wake up till 7 am when she woke up!

Yay we dont owe any tax and even getting a little bit back!

Now trying to figure out a healthy take away we can have tonight to celebrate and to give my poor self a night off from the kitchen tongue.gif

Lils's dress came for the Christening!!!!!! It has the cutest matching bonnet..hope its a warm day..or she will be a chilly bub..its short sleeved. Just need to hunt down plain white shoes and a little hankie ..from memory i think Charlotte needed one..
KimV
I thought i would do a quick post while i'm here at mums, RObin is watching playschool and the other two are sleeping.

favourite item - gee i dont know... hmmm... i have to say that i love my valco runabout. god knows how many kilos i've shed since i bought that with the toddler seat for speedy walks around the parks, blocks, shops... even know i have the "skate board" on the back so i can walk fast with three kids. Sure it's a pain going through checkouts, but it's so easy to steer and all that so i think it's fantastic.

worst item - tiny wraps!! original.gif kind of useless i think.

I just wanted to say thanks for the idea of photos on the mug.. i might see if i still have time cause i think thats a great idea for DH at work. We already have some dvds for him, but i think the mug would be kinda cool! original.gif

nadine - i'm glad to hear the news that theres nothing nasty there with Kayla.

Happy 6months for Penny today!! original.gif can't believe it! She had her needles today too, and was a bit cranky for a few minutes but other than being tired from a busy morning she;s been good. i remember with the other two we got them like a little something at 6months. a rattle or something. i might nick out in a tick see if i can find something for her... she seems to like sticking the wooden spoons in her gob at the moment, so maybe something along those lines... haha

ummm.. can;t remember what else i wanted to say... leave it for another time i guess. better go, cause i had put the kettle on and it's half and hour later now i think original.gif bye for now!
Nadine22
HAPPY 6 MONTHS BEAUTIFUL PENNY original.gif
Delbo
Hi all,

Just waiting for DH to get home as I have to take Charlotte to the hospital to get her chest looked at. The Doc wasn't happy with the sound of it and how rapidly she was breathing so wants her checked by a Pead. Will let you know how we go.

HAPPY 7 MONTHS TO PRINCESS LAURA smile1.gif

HAPPY 6 MONTHS TO PRINCESS PENNY smile1.gif

Kylie: Congrats on Gold this thread. smile1.gif Yea sometimes I'm on invisible, if I'm only popping on for a little while, sometimes I'm online if ive gotta do bookwork, etc. Hope to see you on soon. biggrin.gif

Nadine: Awww. Kick up the butt chook! LOL blush.gif

Helen: Yay! On Hamish sleeping better for you, I get those 'bursts' of energy too, when D's had a good sleep. WOW! Great idea sounds beautiful for your DH, I'm sure he will love it. Take a pic after you have finished and post them for us to see.

Karen: Gorgeous pics of Laura looks like she's really enjoying her bicky. Happy 7 months to Laura.

Alli: Great pics, glad to see you back. I was offline for about 2 weeks I think, and missed 8 threads!! We are very chatty, it has to be a pop in every day thing so you don't miss out. LOL

Jen: You must be 1 talented woman!. Can't wait to see a pic.

Georgina: Hope Charlotte gets better soon, it's horrible when kids are sick, let us know how you go please. Where in earth did u get the nickname 'Quack' PMSL biggrin.gif
ETA: lol just saw your thing above your name, lol. Preggo brain still here, or has returned.. unsure.gif

Chantelle: I have been a TIGERS supporter all my life too, looks like me and DH will get along well with the footy wink.gif My 11yo Brittany follows TIGERS religiously also, watching every televised game. My 2 eldest boys did barrock for Richmond until they chose to barrock for Essendon (what ever possessed them to do that I do not know..lol)
DH not a footy supporter, chose to barrock for Brisbane Lions as his home town was Queensland (Brisbane). So when Richmond and Brisbane played a few weeks ago on t.v, he was like 'oh Brisbanes gonna kick your butt!' I said 'yea right, we'll see' and ½ way into the game 80 points ahead DH told me to switch channels. LOL. SORE LOSER biggrin.gif

KimV: Gorgeous pics of Penny. Hope Penny isn't too unsettled with her needles ((hugs)) for her. Happy 6months Penny.

Ang: Good to hear from you, hope you are all well. Swan Lake? Wow, what a treat for your 10yo, hope you have a fantastic time. biggrin.gif

Laurolly: Goodluck with the uni assignment. Good luck with selling your house, ummm WANDEROO is in Adelaide, maybe she can buy your house, we seem to be doing 'swapsies' here. happy.gif

Karen, Lisa, Chantelle, thanks for your comments on the fuel prices.. I think it's getting a bit rediculas, we will have to walk everywhere soon. Will they put the prices up on shoes then?????

Have a great night ladies, hope you keep well.

KimXXX

Ooh, George sad.gif , that sounds yucky. Hope she's OK. Good luck.

Nadine - great to hear you got the all-clear for Kayla. What a relief. i should be OK for a meet either day, assuming no-one's sick! wacko.gif Feel free to make an executive decision and put up an official Sydney Meet notice!!! I imagine you haven't heard much from everyone as Mon and Christy are out of action these days, Suzy'll be busy sorting out a move, it's too far for Ana and Catherine's probably trying to catch up on sleep!!! tongue.gif

Claire - do you think you can get to the meet? It'd be great to meet you original.gif. Hope the studying's going OK.

Ang - hope Swan Lake's good and that DD enjoys it.

Ana - when's the christening?

HAPPY 6 MONTHS to Kayla, Penny and Ellah.

HAPPY 7 MONTHS to Laura, Annabel, Lola, Ivy and Emma!

All from me for now - lotsa love
sarzy
Hi all
Well have been busy - am doing a few extra work shifts to cover holidays so am working a 'huge' 3.5 days a week for next 2 wks. My little Maxi has decided he now prefers the bottle over the boob after refusing the bottle for ages, so am having to coerce him into breastfeeding wacko.gif Oh well, he's fine when he's sleepy but is preferring the bottle when alert and awake.. will keep persisting. Can't win em all I guess.

Happy 6 mths to Penny and happy 7 mths to all our other beautiful girls.

George - Hope Charlotte is OK, poor little thing. Caloundra is lovely, although I'm more of a 'South Coast' girl. You, me and Melly will have to put our heads together to figure out a meet. Would be happy to have it at my place or may be able to talk DH into going to Caloundra.

Kim - Hope you are settling into yr new place and have everything unpacked.

Wow Ang - can't believe you have a 10 yr old!

Oh gotta go, kids are feral and dh losing his cool. BBL Sara x
HelsBells
Hi Chantz,
Harvey Norman do the mugs as well - other ideas there too, just can't think what they are. Calenders and things I think.
biggrin.gif
pas
HI again

Forgot to say re PETROL - I don't know how it works elsewhere, but in Sydney the lowest price is always on a Tuesday and then they put it up again by 10c-15c a litre on a Wednesday (some places Tues pm, others Wed am). So our local goes from 129/l on a Tuesday night to 145/l by Wed lunchtime. Then over the week it slowly whittles down again by Tuesday pm.
Strange but true - and well worth remembering if you need petrol!!!

Have often thought the mousepad/mug idea a good one - been meaning to do it for my Dad for years! Maybe one day I will actually do it! wacko.gif

Sarz - what a pain with the bottle vs breast. i had that problem with Ellie - took me 6 weeks to get her to take the bottle but once we had she had fully weaned by 5 months sad.gif. Just point blank refused the boob.

ETA - sorry, Sara - just re-read that - sounds awful! Need to point out we were giving her two bottles a day by the time she weaned so not surprising with hindsight. It's amazing how little I actually knew about BF etc despite her being my second bub - the same thing had happened with James - I am SO much better informed this time around.
*BLUE*FAIRY*
wall is out biggrin.gif its like having a ballroom in the mid of my house and the old kitchen has to go later, when new one is in biggrin.gif have taken same photos of wall going down http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y166/jeanelle76/house/

Claire - I think we had discussed Wahroonga Park for the next one but I know Ana needs it over her way because she's on public transport and keeps missing them, so October will probably be Frenchs Forest/Dee Why area.

Sydney Meets
September - Sept 7 or Aug 31 - Castle Hill RSL - Nadine to confirm.
September - 1 or 8 - night out at The Oaks. Suzy to say when!
October - Northern Beaches somewhere - Jen and Ana to suggest when/where?
November - Wahroonga Park

How's that?

Jeanelle - wow, that's huge! How are you managing with three kids AND renovations?!!!
Kygee
Georgina: Hope Charlotte is ok hun!
PLease come back and let us know how you go.
Big hugs!

I am in a emotional state tonight cause of Abbi she still isnt eatting and drinking much, but seems happy still, but it is doing my head in and i dont know what else to do for her so on FRiday i am going to the doctors to see what is going on!
Also my mum wont help me out at all, as always and it is making me emtional.
Me and rob want to go and see a band tomorrow night for a couple of hours, and she said she cant baby sit the kids so made up another excuse so poor Rob mum has to do it again, and i feel for her!

Also on the 28th of next month Rob is getting the snip so no more kids for us, which feels pretty sad to say but i think i would not cope with anymore.

Ok better go sorry for the ME post again!

LOve to all,
*BLUE*FAIRY*
Georgina- Hope Charlotte is ok

polly- renovations with 3 has not been so bad, as it is all going on at the end of the house. its not going to be to easy with the old kichen as its in the mid of the house huh.gif
Nadine22
Georgina- {{{hugs}}} I am thinking of you and hopefully Charlotte is ok.

Sarzy- Yep, I know what you are going through. kayla refused me when she was 9 weeks old. I persisted for 4 weeks, but she was not going to have a bar of my boob. So I guess she weaned herself. {{{hugs}}}

Sydney Meet- Castle Hill RSL -,Thursday 31st of August - at 11am. Hope that is ok, and I hope I won't be the only one attending the meet unsure.gif
~Dragonfly~
My bubba has a tooth!! I was really surprised when i put my finger in her mouth this morning and felt it!
Yay for Lexie!

Hi to everyone, hope you are all doing great.
Morts!
Georgina - I really hope Charlotte is ok. ((hugs))

Jeanelle - Wow the house looks great so far! You won't know yourself with so much room.

Kylie1979 - ((hugs)) If Abbi is happy then I'm sure she's ok. She'd let you know if she wasn't well.

Dragonfly - Yay Lexie! Did the teething bother her or did it come through nice and easily?

I was very good and went for 2 walks today! My mum and dad came over and we all went for a nice long walk, then this arvo my cousin from down the road came over and we went for another long walk with both our bubs.

Laura FINALLY decided this arvo to roll from back to front!! Yay Laura! I knew she could do it but she hates being on her tummy so doesn't roll over. Anyway, she finally worked out today that she can roll on to her tummy, grab a toy and quickly roll back on to her back again.

Oohh Home and Away is starting. Gotta go!

I'm just finishing off the census gig this week so still working days and nights - dp put Franny to bed tonight for the first time without me sad.gif but the great news is she went without a fuss - he even left her in there with a bottle! I didn't even know that she could hold it. Goes to show how much time we've got to spend together lately....

Here's the link - it may take too long on dial up I'm not sure - it goes for around 4 mins

Well, I am pleased to say that Kayla didn't repeat the wakeups from the night before last, and she slept 12 hours straight. And went 12.5hrs between feeds. YAY for my clever little girl biggrin.gif

Jess- I am downloading the quickplay program as I type.

Oh, it's raining...where has the sun gone. Oh well, I guess after so many beautiful days, we are probably in need for some rain.

Delbo
Good morning.

Well after 5 hours at emergency (got home at 10.30pm) ohmy.gif blink.gif All is OK. Charlotte had a slight temp and her oxygen levels were a bit low. They did a chest xray and that seemed clear. No infection. The Pead said that some kids do get very shallow rapid breathing with a virus. So I have to give her ventolin every 3 hours to help her breath a bit and keep an eye on her and take her back if it gets any worse. Thanks for your kind thought everyone. smile1.gif

Kylie (Bubsy) - everything OK? You have been quiet.

Jeanelle - ooohh good luck with getting your tubes done. And the house looks great!

Jess - haven't watched the video yet but I am sure it will bring a tear to my eye.

Kylie1979 - I hope you do get out with Rob for a few hours. I think you need the break. Wonder if Abbi is teething? I think that can put them off their food. Has she had her immunisations yet? The nurse told me they can go off their food for a few days after that too.

Jen - mumps!! ohmy.gif Poor DH! I haven't heard of anyone gettimg mumps since I was a kid. Is Thom at risk too? I had enough trouble being on house arrest for two weeks when Jacob had chicken pox a month ago let alone a month! Poor you.

Nadine - yay on the great sleep. Now you have lots of energy to clean the house!

Sara - glad to hear maxi had a good feed. Emma gets distracted during the day if the other kids are noisy. I think that is why she is still waking at night as she sometimes has crappy feeds during the day. I am wondering if he is favouring the bottle because it is easier for him to get the milk out of? Just a thought. When we are in QLD we will have the car (we are driving up unsure.gif ) so I can drive somewhere for a meetup. smile1.gif

Can't remember much else.

Having a quiet day at home today. It is raining outside and I want Lottie to rest for the day. So will pop back in later.

Georgina
