SIL's are here and safely settled.
Lesley - I'm presuming Max has enough wet/dirty nappies etc, and is not demonstrating any other symptoms of failure to thrive? Not all bubbas fit the charts. It might just be him - not your milk. Little DS is only now about to get on the charts.
OneMore?
Just a quickone from me, I am sure the boys will wake any minute.

Alchemy - Max is a happy little chap most of the time (we must be having a growth spurt this week as he is a bit out of sorts......grumpy !! and not settling as well as he was). I am not really worried about his weight and neither was our GP, the fact that he was waking 2 hourly over night I made the decision to start solids and it has worked well, he really is only having three small (1-2 cubes) meals a day, tastes really. He will still wake 2 (if I am really lucky once) times overnight and still feeds about 5 times during the day, so he is getting enough milk but just didn't seem satisfied. Now he is back to doing a long stretch of sleep over night. Last night he fed at 6pm went to bed and then woke again at 12.30am for a feed and then again at 4am and then up for the day at 7am, so I can live with that (the two weeks before solids he was down at 6pm, up at 8, 10, 1, 4 and 6), and could not be settled without a feed - DH and I both tried. It would be nice for two long stretches and one feed, or shock horror for him to sleep through, but you can't have everything tongue.gif

My main concern was he was 8lb born and now sits at just under the 25% - I wish they didn't have those charts, just adds more stress. In other areas he is fine, wet nappies etc, he rolls, can sit unaided (for short periods of time) is a happy placid little man. You'd think it would be less stress the 2nd time around, but I had similar issues with Oscar and still haven't learnt my lesson (I am sure genetics are playing a part too..)

Amanda - Tomatoes aren't recommended until 8 months, so I might hold off on the Spag Bog. I have a list (suggestions only !!) of what foods to start at what age (guidleines only) if you would like me to type them out then let me know (that goes for anyone). It is a Tizzie Hall list ph34r.gif (a Eber gave it to me.....honestly) trust me I am NOT a routine person , I have found it useful as a rough guide though.
GIO
POV you sooky la la - I have now sent yours.

I didn't realise that the date we have set is during school holidays. Sorry ladies. It's just that I'm busy the next couple of Tues and then I go on holiday for a couple of weeks. And since I'm organising it, I kind of figure that I should turn up. It doesn't bother me, but I know there are some people with toddlers who don't like to go to them during school holidays.

Baked beans - I used to worry about the tomato sauce burning her bum - so I would wash them.

Cheers

Why does my inbox keep disappearing every few days?

GIO - My diary doesnt go that far ahead (well I do already have an appt for January but October looks good so far) so I should be safe to book that day in.

Is anyone else having problems with a very curious baby?
Harry is having a shocking time eating or sleeping when out and about. Ohh lights....ohh noises...oh look there is a man walking...wow...what was that... i looooooooooove ceiling fans.....oh yeah....boobie....what was that???
*Meg*
Dehalan - Nosy is Hayleys middle name biggrin.gif I think that is why she is so quiet - in case she misses something!! Her grandparents call her sticky beak tongue.gif

Dehalan - I have been meaning to ask you - when you travel with Harry on the plane did you keep him in the sling/pouch while on board or did you have to take him out of the pouch and sit him on your knee?

I'm not planning to go to the parents expo this time. Tomorrow is mothers group and Saturday is the EB Qld pancake manor meet. Yum.
ETA - Pancake Manor is actually next week. Silly me.

Gio - 16th October is fine with me original.gif Where will you be staying?

Speaking of which - sometime near the end of the week starting 16th October I will be heading to Sydney - perhaps I can meet up with the Sydney girls while we are down there?

I'm counting down the days before we start solids! I'm waiting til the 6 month mark. Hayley is showing no interest in food whatsoever yet, she loves her milk though. So will see how we go. I can imagine she will screw up her little nose at food original.gif

Hayley has the worst nappy rash at the moment! We have been part time in cloth the last few days (I have only made 3 usable nappies just yet) so I'm hoping its not the cloth that has upset her skin. She has been doing nasty poops lately which i suspect could be teeth but no sign of anything yet. Her eczema is looking great at the moment though original.gif

Kerry - How is your family going? I haven't seen you post for a bit. (I may have missed something?)
GIO
I'm stay in Cavill Ave GC but we have a car for a few days, and so I can drive to meet you ladies.

I'll send Alchemy my mobil number then she can let me know where to meet everyone (or if you cancel on me!) since I'll be out of touch for a week before that. I don't want to rely on finding an internet cafe. Bummer - I won't be using cloth on holidays so I won't be able to show off my nappies to you all. Maybe I should just pack one for show and tell!

Amanda - since I've got two bubs and you have one - why don't you come to Springvale - I'll make lunch!!! MHN is in the am.

Cheers

Gio - if your free you should come to the Qld girls dinner on the Gold Coast on the 14th. They are going for the whole weekend (extravagant girls that they are!) but I'm going to meet up with them for the dinner only.

I would love to see one of your nappies at show and tell tongue.gif Hayley can show you her Hello Kitty nappy original.gif

Dehalen, not only is C a terrible sticky beak, but she won't feed from my left boob at all in her bedroom, as the butterflies on the wall on that side completely mesmerise her!

Hi there all,
Wow i am exhausted reading through this last thread. Everyone has a busy time of it.... but i suppose me too.

GIO- thank for the invite on 19th sept.. count me in; no issue with school hols for us at the moment.
The trip to qld sounds good.. we were up there in July and just to have some extra warmth..mmmmm

Amandadaze- I am in Hawthorn and would be open to a catchup/meet next week if you want. PM me if you like.

All - find it good to hear all the feeding progress. Siena just 5mths and plan to wait til the 6th for solids though she is very interested in all that passes her by

All is going really well here...
Siena is a real sweetie and now the proud owner of TWO bottom teeth!!! All i have to do is make sure i dodge the bites on the boob- happened twice now and one of them ended with DP being kicked in reaction ("what the...?" LOL)
Rockin but not rollin yet... tongue.gif
Father's Day was fun.... DP got breaky in bed, jocks and a power tool (literal not metaphorical!). Then we spent the afternoon at the pool for Siena's first swim and then had picnic lunch. It was so cute. I was the crazy mum in the pool snapping with the camera!!

We have a bit of a grizzle session going at the moment sad.gif , which could be more teeth... just not herself..but fine during the day. The cheeks are really rosy tonight but seems to go up and down.
Siena will be Christened on sunday. I am looking forward to having everyone over though having trouble calculating the catering. Girlfriend coming over tomorrow to help me bake and do the check list. Phew. My best friend/Siena's Godmother has just brought over her children's Christening dress for Siena to wear... it is so beautiful, made me all teary.

Anyhow off to bed now. All the best where ever you may be.

Cass
