Essential Kids > General > What Do You Think?

Just after some ideas and feedback from people in regards to paying someone to iron.

Do you think that $10 for a standard washing basket is too expensive?

At that price, or a negotiated price for a larger basket, and delivery and pick up options available as well, would you consider using the ironing service?

Would you expect same day turnaround, or a maximum of 2 days turnaround?

Anything else to look out for?

TIA
Micaela

Kind regards

I think $10 is a bargain, and I would give them a couple of days to do it. original.gif

$10 is a bargain , and I'd be happy to have the basket ready in a couple of days for that price and I'd pick it up myself. Gee I think you could perhaps charge up to $25 for a basket ( I know what people do to their ironing baskets full of clothes - jump on them to fit more in ) LMAO

BTW - I've never used a ironing service as I'm a freak and enjoy ironing, but most of my interstate family use an ironing service and pay almost three times that amount. My sister pays extra for some of her items that are 'fiddly' like pleated skirts etc. So that could be an option for you perhaps ?

$10 is a huge bargain. Was charged $20 - for ten I would definately give 2-3 days turnaround.

I've seen ads in the paper for $10-15 a basket. That seems soooo cheap. I don't mind ironing myself, that said I wouldn't offer to iron other people's. I would probably expect to get it back the next day.

If I was to do other people's ironing, I'd want to charge at least $25 a basket.

$10.00 is way to cheap. I'd charge at least $15/$20 for a basket of ironing.

too cheap - I'd pay between $15 & $20 which I'd be willing to drop off and pick up the following day.

Thats too cheap considering hw long it would take you to do a basket. I be charging around the $15 to $20 mark.

I pay $20 an hour. Generally my ironing lady will do a full basket for that price. When it really builds up, as in overflowing I pay $40. Most times, it averages out to $20 a week.
I hate ironing with a passion, but I like nicely ironed clothes. I have found that some people are shoddy ironers, I like clothes to look like they have been ironed well.
