Any recommendations for LDC in the Artarmon area (Sydney)? I have rung a few already but have been told that waiting lists are currently closed. Trying not to panic about availability but also want a sense of what is recommended. Not quite sure how I will get to visit potential LDC since I work full-time and it's hard to get time off (currently pregnant).
Thanks for any advice on this!

Hi, I will reply on the title for St Leonards. DD goes to Gumnuts at the Forum (i.e above St Leonards station), they are fantastic, carers are wonderful, staff have been stable and as they only moved the centre there at the start of the year, everything is lovely and new (however, because the centre has been running at another location for years so you get the best of both worlds). The very biggest downside is the drop off and pick up because obviously you can't just drive up out the front and do a quick drop off. However, on the plus side, you can pick up some groceries if required. Sorry not to be able to help about Artarmon.
Good luck

My boy is at Gumnut too. I do not find pick up and drop off a hassle at all as there are 5min parking zones outside on both sides of the road and an overhead walkway so you don't need to cross the road. Don't worry about what they say about wait lists as the two times I have applied for daycare I actually got in within a month of putting my name down. The secret is to start at the beginning of the year as that is when everyone moves up and there are heaps of spots.
