My DS currently approx 3.5 years is still refusing to do number two's in the toilet. I have tried everything, reward system, saying no nappies, etc.

We have been toilet trained since just before three and only do number two's at night and requests a nappy to do them.

so he knows that they are coming but screams at the thought of sitting on the potty or toilet.

Please all suggestions opinions etc are welcome.

Thanks Ittakestwo unsure.gif

I would say just be patient and remind him that poos are for the potty or the toilet.
DS waited until his nappy was on and then did a poo or if he couldn't hold on, just did it in his pants. We were just patient and told him that he needed to do poos in the toilet like his wees. Today, finally, he did a poo in the potty! He was 3 in September and has developmental and communication delays, plus a couple of other problems so we knew toilet training would be something that we needed to be patient with.
I hope it all happens for you soon as well!

I have no idea sad.gif My ds is 3 and will wee no problems at all, but wont poo in the loo only in his pants. I'm sure he knows he is doing it. He does them at different times of the day so i can't 'catch' him. It's so frustrating.
Good Luck original.gif

Just wanted to say I can sympathise as well. DS is fine with wees now but will not do a poo in the toilet. We're just trying to be patient (very hard) and have a regular sit time on the loo.

Good luck to us all!!

I can't really give advice, however DD recently TT wees and poos. Poo came last though and she was still doing them in her pants, having said that I kept her in undies, she hated the feeling of the poo in her pants and it wasn't long before she was asking to go to the toilet, for number 2.
