My DD is almost 13 months and i am still BF she still has 3 of 4 feeds per day but the last week or 2 my supply has really slowed down, i am no where near ready to stop bf yet and now i have made it to the 12 month mark i am heading for 2yrs, can anyone give me any idea's on anything i can do or take to help my supply.
Thanks

Why do you think your supply has dropped? Is it because your boobs are smaller? If so, this doesn't relate to your actual supply. I was still doing 2 - 3 feeds a day when DS was that age, and I remember a time when I seemed to really shrink in the bust! But he was still feeding contentedly, so I wasn't too worried.

I agree... what is telling you that your supply has dropped?
Can you feed her a bit more often?
Get some rest when she is sleeping?
Have a bath together and a feed.
Lay down with her in the morning and have a nice long feed... both sides. Let her sleep next to you and feed her through the night (if you aren't already)
Let us know how you are going?

Hi! A couple of things you could try: don't feed less than four times a day and don't go more than 10 hours between feeds. Some mums find that their supply drops if they do? Good luck! You are doing really well.

Hi ladies thank you for your replies.
Reasons i was thinking my supply was dying down was Hannah really seemed to be sucking really hard while she is feeding and also pushing down on my breast at the same time like she was trying to push more outand will still be thirsty after a feed and go to get her cup of water, have been trying to feed her a bit more often and it seems to be helping a little bit, maybe it was stress related as well as DS was just diagnosed with ASD and things have been pretty crazy around here with appointments and stuff.
Thanks again for your replies and i will let you know how we go.
Thanks
Larnie
